Monmouthshire County Council has a statutory duty to collect bulky waste from households on request. Since 2012, the Council have been in contract with a third sector organisation based in Monmouthshire to operate this service. This contract is for a supplier to undertake the responsibility of bulky waste collections in Monmouthshire, including the requirement to reuse and recycle as much of the waste as possible.
Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) is seeking quotations for Clydach Gateway Design.
MCC has secured Heads of the Valleys Legacy Funding from the Welsh Government to enable it to develop and implement plans to improve the Clydach Gateway site in Monmouthshire, to provide a visitor gateway to the Clydach ironworks, gorge and countryside access network by building on the works already completed by MCC on the ironworks site, increasing connectivity of the three parts of the wider site and considering equality and inclusivity of provision, through a range of enhancement opportunities such as landscaping, access and signage improvements, creating a safe and accessible outdoor space and key tourist destination, improving the overall visitor experience and site appeal.
MCC is now procuring the services of a consultant to enable it to realise its ambitions for the Clydach Gateway site by undertaking the assessment, design and oversee implementation of the scheme.
The Monmouth Shire Hall Exhibition Works project aims to deliver an engaging, interactive visitor experience through a series of interpretive exhibits.
This initiative is part of a broader heritage interpretation strategy led by Monmouthshire County Council, with Redman Design as the exhibition designer and contract administrator.
The works will be integrated into the historic Shire Hall building, requiring coordination between design, fit-out, and building contractors.
