Gerrards Cross Town Council seeks to award a contract (worth up to £35,000) for the supply and installation of new play equipment; alongside existing apparatus on land it manages at East Common. This includes provision and installation of any required or appropriate groundworks, preparation and safety wet pour surfacing.
The Town Council plans to provide additional exciting and modern play equipment; such as a multi-play climbing unit. The structure must be innovative and physically challenging; suited to a broad age range of children, from pre-teen to young adult.
The challenge is to provide inclusive apparatus that caters to all age ranges with stimulating pieces; that children are excited to use.
This new multi-play features should as a minimum include;
• Slides
• Climbing net
• Climbing wall
• Play spinner
• Generation-swing seat
Given the anticipated heavy use of the play area, equipment must be robust and vandal-proof.

The Parish Council owns a number of sites spread across the parish. The contract includes hedge cutting at eight allotment sites and several amenity locations.
There are also two grassland fields that require annual cuts (as meadows); with cuttings baled and removed. There is additional path cutting required on one of the fields.

The Parish Council puts great value in the day-to-day management of these open spaces as a resource that all residents can enjoy. Green Spaces are a vital part of the community infrastructure; contributing in a variety of ways to the health and well-being of all that use them or enjoy their visual amenity.
The contract includes grass cutting and horticultural maintenance of key Parish Council-owned open-spaces across Hughenden parish; such as play areas, allotments, amenity grasslands, a Garden of Rest and miscellaneous sites.
Works also include the Devolved Services of Buckinghamshire Councils (such as maintenance of roadside verges) and general maintenance of Parish Council infra-structure.
