The Contract will mainly be for treatment of Rats, Mice and Cockroaches but on occasion, Midland Heart will need the Contractor to deal with all pests listed below (list not exhaustive) - Rats Bird mites Flies Mice Lice Dust Mites Cockroaches Fleas Ants Bed Bugs Wasps Silverfish Squirrels Hornets The only exceptions are protected species & honeybees (where Midland Heart will decide on how to proceed following advice from the Contractor). The services will be delivered direct through the Contractors own staff and will not be subcontracted without written permission from Midland Heart. The above services are required across a range of different stock and tenure's including Void properties, General Needs properties, Retirement and Supported Living properties, Home Options (Leasehold and Shared Ownership) properties and Mutual Properties. The Contract is expected to commence on the 6th of March 2023. Midland Heart is developing a DPS, to form a list of approved, or pre -checked suppliers, deemed capable of providing the following reactive and planned asset management support. The DPS will be split into Lots Lot 1 - Small works. Lot 2 - Voids Lot 3 - Glazing Lot 4 - Electrical Lot 5 - Drainage Lot 6 - Roofing Please complete and submit the DPS Standard Questionnaire through In-Tend, suppliers will be advised if they have been approved onto the DPS or not through the In-Tend portal. The DPS will remain live until....... Suppliers can apply at any time to be an approved supplier, while the DPS is live. If a supplier is unsuccessful they can re-apply if their circumstances change. Approved suppliers can bid for contracts advertised through the DPS. Additional information: Please complete the standard questionnaire for the Lot/s that you intend to bid for. Then submit the Standard Questionnaire within In-tend, this will be assessed by the relevant contract manager and a respond will be sent through In-tend. If the response is successful then you will be accepted onto the DPS as an approved supplier and able to bid for any contracts through the DPS relevant to your Lot. The DPS will remain open until ....... and suppliers can join at anytime before this closing date. The Contract is split into Two (2) Lots, Contractors can bid for both Lots but cannot be awarded both. Following evaluation of the compliant Tenders Midland Heart shall determine which profile of lot award demonstrates the most economically advantageous outcome and which top ranked Contractor will be awarded each Lot. Lot 1 - will cover the provision of legionella maintenance for Monitoring, Sampling and Cleaning of Water Systems. The servicing and maintenance of Thermostatic Mixer Valves including all required remedial works. The servicing and remedial works of unvented cylinders, sewage and booster pumps. Please see Schedule 1 - Lot 1 Specification for full detail. Lot 2 - is to provide Midland Heart with Risk Assessments. The risk assessment shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of HSE ACoP L8, HSG 274 Part 2, HSG 282 and British Standard BS 8580-1. When assessing the risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria, consideration shall be given as to the potential for: a) Legionella to seed, survive and grow in the water system; b) aerosol generation and exposure; and c) the presence, numbers and susceptibility of people who may be exposed The Contractor will be required to review the effectiveness of control measures and management arrangements in preventing or controlling these risks. It is the policy of Midland Heart that all water systems shall be risk assessed a minimum of every two years and when there is reason to believe that the original risk assessment may no longer be valid.
