Mid Ulster District Council is seeking tenders for a contractor to develop and deliver a PEACEPLUS funded Minority Communities programme for Mid Ulster District Council. The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Minority Communities programme for all. The programme will build the capacity and resilience of our minority communities to develop greater integration for all and raise awareness and understanding. The programme will seek to support minority communities through: • Delivery of a diversity campaign across the Mid Ulster District- to create awareness and increase greater respect for diversity across all our communities of Mid Ulster based on the model of sanctuary of being a welcoming and safe place to live. • Delivery of events, activities and training- co designed with minority communities, to build capacity, awareness, knowledge and understanding of different cultures and traditions. • A total of 500 people will be engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will seek to facilitate positive cultural expression and increase levels of mutual understanding, trust and respect. The programme will be delivered through a model of engaging people supporting them to contribute to a more cohesive and prosperous society.

The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Environment and Biodiversity programme. This programme will bring communities together on the shared theme of the protection of our environment. The programme will support people/ groups to: • Community led transformation through local environmental reimaging improvements and practical interventions. • Build capacity of people/ groups interested in horticulture, environment, climate change and contributing to local environmental improvements. • Have greater understanding of diversity. • Transfer knowledge between groups. • Improve relationships. • Increase volunteering. • A total of 225 people will be engaged over a 3 year period, with a minimum of 20 community and voluntary groups involved. The programme will be delivered through a model of engaging people supporting them to contribute to a more cohesive and prosperous society.

Mid Ulster District Council is seeking tenders for a contractor to develop and deliver a PEACEPLUS funded Youth Entrepreneurship programme for Mid Ulster District Council. The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Youth Entrepreneurship programme for all Post Primary Schools in the district focusing on year 8 age group. The programme will support young people to: • Build the resilience and confidence of young people • Develop resilience in young people via entrepreneur skills – confidence building, selling, leadership, time management etc. • Develop friendships among young people through shared engagement • Advance young peoples knowledge and understanding of leadership qualities • Build shared engagement between diverse schools through development of leadership and building resilience • A total of 450 young people engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will build the young people’s knowledge and understanding of leadership qualities while supporting them to build friendships and contribute to a prosperous and peaceful society.

The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Culture, Arts and Heritage programme for all Primary Schools in the district focusing on primary 6/7 age group. The programme will support children to: • Build greater awareness and understanding of locally based shared culture, arts and heritage within their local community • Build shared engagement and friendships between diverse schools through an experiential and interactive learning programme focused on locally based culture, arts and heritage • Develop skills in innovation and creative technology in children • A total of 750 children engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will build the children’s awareness and understanding of locally based culture, arts and heritage while supporting them to build friendships and contribute to a prosperous and peaceful society.

The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This programme is a dedicated cross community Health and Wellbeing Programme. It will focus on promoting social inclusion and improving the mental and emotional wellbeing for disadvantaged and marginalised groups by supporting them as follows: • Tackling isolation and loneliness programme focused on developing and supporting men’s and women’s sheds concept across Mid Ulster District Council. • Disability engagement programme targeting people with learning and physical disabilities through existing groups and networks to support in a range of the following (as required): Development skills /Social networking /Civic Engagement • Building resilience for Youth programme- developing and delivering bespoke youth led programme on a cross community basis, focused on resilience of young people and tackling a range of specific issues relevant to them (e.g mental health, healthy relationships, sexuality, drugs, alcohol, health and wellbeing, personal safety etc). Through the programme young people will be supported to engage and participate in leadership development opportunities. • A total of 750 people will be engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will be delivered through a model of engaging people supporting them to contribute to a more cohesive and prosperous society.
