Staploe Education Trust currently has four member academies - one secondary and three primaries all in Cambridgeshire. The Trust are looking for potential contractors to demonstrate their relevant experience and expertise to manage the catering services within the schools listed below. New schools joining the trust may join the contract during the contract term. The Trust are seeking a partner that -Provides varied, fresh and nourishing menus that inspire and support learning -Dining experiences across all age groups which promote social interaction and wellbeing -Friendly, professional and inclusive services for all, including the menu offer -Creative and flexible approaches which meet the individual needs of each school -Increased parental and pupil engagement encouraged through positive promotion and in response to stakeholder feedback -A focus on environmental issues - working with the Trust to limit practices associated with catering that have a negative impact on the environment -A partnership between the Trust and the provider which enables both parties to meet key objectives through good communication, mutual respect and a thorough understanding of the ethos and priorities of the Trust with regard to staff working in schools, and the community each school serves The schools that form part of this tender are : Secondary - Soham Village College, Soham - 1390 pupils on roll (11-16 year olds) Primary -The Kennet Primary School, Kennet - 100 pupils on roll Primary -The Shade Primary School, Soham - 200 pupils on roll Primary -The Weatheralls Primary School, Soham - 450 pupils on roll Please note that the successful organisation will be required to gain Admitted Body Status to Cambridgeshire Local Government Pension Scheme. The Trust is voluntarily following the restricted procedure as set out within the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR), however please note that this is considered a contract under the Light Touch Regime and therefore the Trust are not obliged to follow the full scope of the PCR. Blue Coat CofE Academy is voluntarily following the restricted procedure as set out within the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR), however please note that this is considered a contract under the Light Touch Regime and therefore the school is not obliged to follow the full scope of the PCR. Blue Coat CofE Academy is a mixed academy in Walsall with 880 students on roll of which 132 are in the sixth form. FSM eligibility is high at 42% of the student population The current caterer is Aspens The Academy is seeking an organisation who will be a proactive partner, ensuring the catering service provided is a positive dining experience for all, in order that those that are eligible take up their Free school Meal Allowance. There is no requirement for capital investment - but investment is expected in management time and support to develop the service, the team, undertake stakeholder engagement and supporting of curriculum links. The successful organisation will be required to gain Admitted Body Status into the LGPS scheme.
