MCA requires programme of works to improve the condition of Falmouth CRS. The proposed works are outlined as follows (please see ITT documents for full details):
- Inspect and repair the leaking Velux Window roof flashing
- Internal and external painting throughout including all doors, woodwork, soffits, windowsills, ceilings and skirting boards
- Replace garage door side timbers
- Replace two windows in the Entrance/ Waiting Room
- Repair and make good all other windows
- Re-carpet with carpet tiles all carpeted areas, change staircase flooring to hard vinyl
- Lift and relay loose ceramic floor tiles replacing any broken tiles, level up as required
- Replace two broken vertical blind sets
- Install additional electrical trunking to add Eight double sockets to the first-floor office, four sockets on each side of the office
- Replace the garage floor with a Flowcrete finish

Providing support, maintenance, and data integration for the UK's Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) Collaborative Data Centre.
The MCA needs to acquire the services of a contractor able to maintain the UK LRIT Data Centre.
The UK's Data Centre has been running since EU exit but the current contract for service and maintenance is expiring. The service is still required so a new contract needs to be put in place for the continued smooth running of the UK's Data Centre.
There is a statutory requirement for all IMO member states to operate an LRIT Data Centre. This service is required for the UK to meet its international obligations under SOLAS.

The Radio Spectrum and Technical Standards Unit (RSTSU) within MCA has responsibility for, and is a major contributor to, national and international policy and standards development for maritime radio and navigational equipment, this is inclusive of policy and standards work relating to navigation equipment derived from Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) Chapters IV and V; and maritime radio communications equipment under the Radio Equipment Regulations (RER). Applicants will potentially be required to contribute and participate in national and international meetings.
There are approximately 18 groups developing these radio spectrum, performance and technical requirements, principally the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI). Applying the standards set by these groups forms an essential part of the equipment type approval process under the mandatory Marine Equipment Regulations (MER) and conformity for RER.
There is an ongoing need to develop and maintain these standards so that safety is preserved or improved and to ensure that decisions, including those about radio spectrum use, are informed by the needs of UK marine industry. To pursue government policy and represent the interests of UK stakeholders the MCA needs to contribute to and influence the work of these bodies.
The objectives of this contract are:
- To provide ad hoc expertise on a call off basis in support of the MCA's UK Technical Services Navigation Branch's Radio Spectrum & Technical Standards Unit;
