Mansfield District Council have appointed a single supplier to act as an Employer's Agent (EA) and Project Manager to lead and coordinate the refurbishment of the Mansfield & District Crematorium including the installation of 2 new electric cremators.
Mansfield & District Crematorium requires refurbishment as the current facility is now outdated in terms of spatial organisation, accessibility, internal environment and aesthetic presentation. Furthermore, the mechanical and electrical systems are end-of-life and the cremators themselves no longer meet expected standards for operational efficiency or environmental performance, especially due to the lack of mercury abatement equipment.
In response to these challenges, a full reconfiguration of the crematorium's internal layout, sensitive but substantial extension of its footprint (up to 25%), recladding of external elevations to enhance energy performance and visual appearance and installation of two new electric cremators is required.
The multi-storey car park is in reasonable condition: however, it has now reached an age whereby it is in need of repair, protection and upgrade to ensure its long term durability. A total of 458 discrete defects were recorded during the intrusive investigations to date (November 2024), in addition there are linear meterage lengths of waffle slab cracking and hair line cracking
This contract is for the provision of Security and Customer Assistance Services for the Civic Centre in Mansfield
The Council occupies an existing building known as the Civic Centre in Mansfield. From this building, the Council provides a multitude of public services and houses many of the office support services.
The Council accommodates a third-party tenant in the form of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
A large office area accommodates the main DWP operations which will are publically accessible.
The ground floor break-out area including kitchen which will be made accessible to the staff that will work for the successful security provider.
The reception area is a relatively informal, shared reception area accessible to all members of the public - whether they are accessing the building for purposes relating to DWP and/or for purposes relating to the Council.

Mansfield District Council require a single supplier to undertake statutory compliance works to Tideswell Court, Mansfield. Tideswell Court is a two-storey building designated as temporary accommodation for vulnerable groups including the homeless, refugees, victims of domestic abuse and ex-prisoners.
Tideswell Court comprises 32 flats and 1 house. Work is required to all residential accommodation as well as communal areas. The work briefly comprises:

• Strip out of flooring, kitchen fittings, doors, skirting boards, bathrooms to accommodation.
• Demolition of existing / construction of new selected internal walls in communal areas
• Construction and installation of new steel fire escape
• Replacing existing windows and doors with fire resistant models
• Reorganisation of car park to accommodate new thermoplastic markings.
• Construction of a one storey extension to accommodate new staff office.
• Replacement kitchens and bathrooms
• Plumbing, electrics. plaster boarding, internal joinery, installation of flooring and painting.
• Drainage Works
• Installation of mobility scooter charging point
• New bin store
Advice and support in the areas of Fire Safety and Asbestos Safety to enable Consumer Standards Improvement Programme to be achieved and meet requirements of the Regulator for Social Housing

The selected pathway for design is based on Option C from the CDS Refurbishment Feasibility Study (incl. in tender pack), which entails a full reconfiguration of the crematorium's internal layout, sensitive but substantial extension of its footprint (up to 25%), recladding of external elevations to enhance energy performance and visual appearance and installation of two new electric cremators.
This procuement is being understaken by Nottinghamshire County Council on behalf of Mansfield District Council.
Nottinghamshire County Council on behalf of Mansfield District Council is seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified entities (the 'Tenderer') for the execution of works to undertake statutory compliance works identified in the recent fire risk assessment as well as general refurbishment works at Sherwood Court Sheltered Housing complex in Mansfield Woodhouse.
