Merseyrail is seeking a proven Supplier for the Facilities Management Services Contract.
The opportunity is split into two (2) lots:
Lot 1 - Hard Facilities Management Services
Lot 2 - Soft Facilities Management Services
The deadline for expressions of interest is the 13th of February at 12:00 Noon and the deadline for the Selection Questionnaire submissions is the 03rd of March at 12:00 Noon.
Merseyrail is seeking a proven Supplier for the Cash in Transit Services Contract.
The deadline for expressions of interest is the 24th of April 2023 at 12:00 Noon and the deadline for the Tender submissions is the 14th of June 2023 at 12:00 Noon. All Suppliers who have expressed an interest will be invited to an Supplier Engagement Meeting on the 08th of May 2023.
Merseyrail will be replacing 50 gates with priced options for the potential of a further 13 additional gates being installed to the Merseyrail estate. Platform validators required for ABT are already installed at all non-gated stations. Based on the planned phases, compatibility with ITSO and EMV are must have requirements, with support for magnetic stripe paper tickets and barcode as options to be costed for separately.
The scope of this procurement covers physical gate hardware along with associated systems and services.
The ABT system will be token agnostic, providing the flexibility to accept ITSO (MetroCard), EMV (bank card and EMV devices such as mobile phones) and Barcode. Gate lines include a mixture of Automatic Ticket Gates (ATGs), Wide Aisle Gates (WAGs) and manually operated Auxillary Gates.
Merseyrail is seeking a proven Supplier for the Occupational Health Services Contract. The Supplier must have an excellent track record in the provision of an Occupational Health service, within the transport industry (preferably Rail) which is of a similar size to Merseyrail.
The deadline for expressions of interest is the 07th of August at 12:00 Noon and the deadline for the Selection Questionnaire submissions is the 21st of August at 12:00 Noon.
Merseyrail is seeking a proven Supplier for the Rail Replacement Bus Services Contract. The Supplier must have an excellent track record in the provision of Rail Replacement Bus Services within the Transport Industry (preferably Rail) which is of a similar size to Merseyrail.
The deadline for expressions of interest is the 17th of August at 12:00 Noon and the deadline for the Selection Questionnaire submissions is the 31st of August at 12:00 Noon.
Merseyrail is seeking to engage with multiple competent and proven Suppliers under a General Construction Works framework agreement.
The opportunity is split into three (3) lots as described below:
Lot 1 - £100,000 - £1.5 Million
Lot 2 - £1 Million - £3 Million
Lot 3 - Over £2.5 Million
Where there are multiple lots, Bidders are permitted to submit a bid for an individual lot or multiple lots, but not part of a lot. However, it must be noted that lot one (1) will be restricted to SMEs only.
The scope of this opportunity relates to an anticipated initial period of five (5) years commencing from 28th October 2026 (further extension options may be applicable).

Merseyrail Electrics 2002 Ltd. is seeking to partner with a competent and proven Supplier to provide Mobile Phone and Data Services across all MEL sites and the surrounding Merseyside region.
Suppliers will be asked to provide a proposal for sim only with unlimited call minutes and texts as well as a data pool allowance which will then be distributed across all the handsets, with a priced option for the supply of hardware.
The opportunity will be let for 24 (twenty-four) Months with options to extend on a rolling monthly basis.
Long-line Public Address (LLPA) system for the Merseyrail network. The objective is to replace, upgrade, and enhance the existing PA system to ensure clear and effective communication across all stations and operational areas within the network.
The Works include but are not limited to the following aspects: assessing the current PA system across the Merseyrail network, designing a modernised solution, and implementing a renewed system that meets current industry standards and operational requirements.
The new system should provide high-quality audio, improved reliability, and seamless integration with Merseyrail's existing communication infrastructure, including passenger information systems and emergency communication channels.
