Manchester Central is currently looking for a contractor to provide an Electronic Point of Sales (EPOS) System. The Contract will be for a period of three (3) years from the commencement date of services, with an anticipated contract start date of 01/12/2022. Apart from offering in-house catering at the Convention Centre, Manchester Central also manages the hospitality facilities at Manchester's Central Library and the Runway Visitor's Park at Manchester Airport. We will also be running all the catering facilities at Manchester Town Hall when it re-opens in 2024. Consequently, the system should be able to operate in various hospitality settings from cafés and trade shows, to banquets and outdoor events. It should be fast, efficient, and designed to improve the customer's experience. Hardware should be robust but portable, enabling it to be moved and re-assembled in different locations. A variety of connectivity options is therefore essential to ensure the system can operate in different environments. You will be responsible for the maintenance of this hardware. Taking payments is an integral part of the EPOS system so it must be able to integrate to a selection of card payment providers, all of whom must be PCI DSS and EMV compliant. Information stored on the system must be easily exported into different formats for data analysis and as reference documents. Different levels of reporting should be available e.g., the ability to report by a finished product (recipe) or by an ingredient. There should be reporting capabilities which allows for location-based analytics to analyse sales in each of unit separately.

Manchester Central is currently looking for a company to provide print services across various sites including Manchester Central Convention Complex, Junction and Town Hall Central Library for event signage and high-impact venue branding opportunities to raise event and sponsor profiles. Signage and branding opportunities are required across various event types including conferences, exhibitions and banquets. The successful supplier will be expected to provide and install a wide range of effective print services for Manchester Central and its clients. Manchester Central gives clients the opportunity to brand key areas of the complex - including but not limited to, feature sites like our iconic station clock;, foyers, reception desks, pillars, banners windows and even snapframes in washroom cubicles. Given the dynamic nature of the events industry the successful supplier must be able to complete necessary work with flexibility and out of standard business hours (9-5). The full site plans, attached in Appendix C & D, highlights the variety of current branding opportunities at Manchester Central & Junction, the scope of opportunities however is not limited to this plan. Further to the full site overview examples of Manchester Centrals & Junctions most utilised branding opportunities are attached (providing more details) within the attached Appendix C: MCCC Branding opportunities Brochure & Appendix D: Junction Branding Opportunities Brochure. Alongside the requirement to provide effective printing services the successful supplier will be expected to attend onsite client meetings to discuss in detail any branding or signage queries together with Manchester Central representatives. The client requirements can sometimes be at short notice so next day availability would be required at times. The Contract will be for a period of two (2) years with a Manchester Central Only option to extend for a further twelve (12) months, with a commencement date of 01st October 2025 Appendix B Service Level Agreement will be adhered to in this contract. The current annual estimated contract value directly with Manchester Central is circa £33K to £40k and is indicative of potential direct works required. However, it should be noted that the scope of requirements varies so work at these levels is not guaranteed. Importantly it should be noted that the value in this contract effectively lies in the preferred supplier status as set out below.

The scope of supply shall include, but is not limited to: (a) LED panels, including all necessary mounting systems and accessories; (b) Containment, including cable management systems, enclosures, and associated infrastructure required for safe and compliant installation; (c) A Content Control Platform, providing the capability to manage, schedule, and display digital content across the installed signage system, including software, licenses, and any required hardware. Manchester Central is currently looking for a contractor to host and maintain our website with a view to carry out future improvements when required. Our website, https://www.manchestercentral.co.uk/ was launched in June 2021, and is a key part of our venue marketing strategy, providing our multiple audiences with relevant information and generating sales leads. The website is built in Drupal and our internal team manage content update with our current supplier carrying out any development work as part of a hosting and maintenance package (detailed below). Whilst we are happy with the design and overall functionality of the website, we are looking for a new supplier to host and maintain the site, with a view to carry out future improvements when required. Initial package requirements: • Hosting of our website: https://www.manchestercentral.co.uk/ • General website maintenance in relation to bug fixes or security updates (ability to work with Drupal site) • A forward look and recommendations in relation to upcoming development that would enhance the website and our user experience (either accommodated within allotted dev hours or agreed as a separate project fee) • To guide our team in relation to any upcoming developments in the technology/website industry that may affect our website or practices • Clear processes and timeframes for maintenance and developments, to include an agreed SLA • In addition to the Manchester Central website, we also have two dormant websites (both Drupal) that will require hosting until a decision is made regarding relaunching the sites.
