TP2800 Structural Steel
The scope of these works includes:
- Removal of structural steel
- Installation of new steelwork
- Steel strengthening
The works cover the terminal building, the East VCC and the South VCC and will commence on the
completion of sections of the demolition works as per site programme. All steelwork removal from the
existing structure is within the scope of this package and outside of the demolition works package. The
steelwork will complete prior to MEP installation and fit out activities.
Through market intelligence, gathered through recent procurements, we estimate a 16 week lead
time, based on a 10 week delivery timeframe and 6 weeks for fabrication.
TP2300 Shell & Core
The scope of these works includes:
Design, manufacture/supply and install elements to construct Pier body onto pre-installed foundations as per MAG project team overall design.
Pier body to consist of: -
-Structural chassis consisting of elements placed on a recti-linear grid as defined in architectural layouts.
-Preassembled/premanufactured flooring systems
-Preassembled façade cassettes
-Preassembled roofing cassettes
-Premanufactured staircases
-Premanufactured lift shafts
-Premanufactured service risers
Pier body construction to utilise overall preassembly of elements e.g.
-Modular sections of structural chassis preassembled
-Installing premanufactured floor, façade, and roof sections directly onto preassembled modular assemblies
-Integration of other packages into preassembled modular assemblies e.g., MEP package 6300 – prefabricated plantrooms, Risers, Service modules etc
The Pier will be constructed over a 17-month period from Q3, 2023 to Q4, 2024.
MAG Framework – New install / Refurbishment
The provision of the MAG Framework is indicative and based on future requirements of all three MAG UK Airport locations which will include, New install / Refurbishment Specification for a minimum period of 3 years. The New install / Refurbishment work will be carried out in line with the capital expenditure Programme.
The scope of these works includes but is not limited to design, supply, install, test, commissioning of new elevators, escalators and auto walkways as well as decommissioning identified Elevators and Escalators. All works where possible will be carried out using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA) solutions of modularisation and prefabrication.
There is an immediate requirement which will form the basis of commercial evaluation of the Framework.
