The existing fleet has reached the end of its operational life. In line with our Net Zero commitments, we are seeking to replace these with electric forklifts to ensure continuity of operations within the Cargo function.
The opportunity is for the provision of 2 x 3.5 tonne electric counterbalance forklifts, including the installation of associated charging infrastructure. The requirement is for a lease arrangement with a service and maintenance plan for a minimum term of 3 years, with the option to extend by a further 1+1 years.
The forklifts will support day to day cargo operations across the airport.

LLAOL currently operates 13 Rockwell Collins Automatic Bag drop machines in the check-in area and 10 automatic injection points. Works are ongoing to plan for an develop a fully automated check-in process over the next 10 years. To support current challenges and the summer peak LLAOL are seeking a supplier who can supply and install or lease a minimum of 2 ABD machines to a maximum of 5 ABD machines. These machines can be standalone and operate as bag tag machines or complete the full check-in process and link in with automatic injection. This is an interim solution and is being implemented to support the 2022 summer peak, thereafter ongoing until the fully automated system is implemented in 5 years time.

This requirement is for a 4+1 contract for the service & maintenance of the sites high mast Lighting Towers.
