The Authority has a requirement for the repair and painting of 3 x bridges at The Lee Valley White Water Centre. The bridges are suffering from the normal effects of wear and tear and need some miscellaneous repairs. Some of the paintwork on and under all of the bridges looks jaded, and in certain areas is missing or flaking. This in turn has led to certain areas of bare metal interacting with the elements, such as wind / rain / splashes from the white-water course, and some rusting has started to occur.

The Authority currently uses a MPLS WAN made up of fibre circuits (see Mpls Locations below) with varying bandwidths, ranging from 10Mbps to 1000Mbps on varying bearers. We require a /29 subnet at each site. The devices and systems within the internal LAN are a culmination of switches, computers, AP’s, Servers and some small scale CCTV systems. The number of devices connected will vary depending on the size of the site. The Head Office at Myddelton House will have the most with approx. 300 devices connected. Our current handoff is Ethernet. The Authority currently has an on-premise server estate spread across two locations (data centre and at Head Office). As part of this tender we want to move to a fully virtualised environment as this will provide improved resilience and reliability. We are now looking for a turnkey solution for a new secure Wide Area Network with and virtualising our server estate onto a hosted cloud platform.

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was home to the 2012 London Olympic Games. The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is now the proud owner of two of the venues based on the park: The Lee Valley VeloPark and The Lee Valley Hockey andTennis Centre. LVRPA owns an area of land that currently has around 36,000m2 of resin bonded ‘Gold Top’ surfacing. Much of the resin bonded surface is now showing signs of deterioration and requires stripping up and replacing. The substrate is mainly concrete laid to falls and the areas generally drain into Acco drainage channels. There are some additional areas of resin bound surfaces, but these are fairly small in terms of square metreage. The resin bound areas are porous and generally drain through holes drilled through the substrate into the ground below.
