Liverpool Hope University have awarded a contract via direct award for the supply & lease of MFD's and Print Room Equipment under the CCS Framework Contract with the reference number RM6174, for the provision of Multifunctional Devices (MFDs), Print and Digital Workflow Software Services and Managed Print Services.

The University intends to procure InPlace cloud software service that will enable full participation in the regional, real-time clinical placement collaboration network used across the North West. This service provides a single, secure platform for managing placements, student wellbeing while on placement, and engagement with external placement providers, allowing seamless integration with the existing multi-university consortium & UK Health Services arrangements. It offers an established, widely adopted approach that reduces the need for multiple internal systems, improves data quality and compliance, supports consistent processes across professional disciplines, and ensures interoperability with the systems already in use by partner institutions. This will allow Liverpool Hope to operate on an equal footing within the shared placement ecosystem and avoid the operational and technical risks associated with non-aligned solutions.

Liverpool Hope University will purchase outright scaffolding with separate installation for property situated at 2 Islington, Liverpool. Currently the condition of the building fabric presents a H&S risk which the University is looking to mitigate by undertaking a direct award.

AWARD NOTICE VIA FRAMEWORK ITS4042 SU The University seeks to procure a sector-standard cloud-based service that can fully integrate into the existing North West regional placement collaboration network, enabling real-time sharing of placement capacity, student allocations and provider engagement.

The works comprise the electrical strip out and re-wire of Plas Caerdeon. It also includes the strip out and upgrade of the existing fire alarm system. It comprises of a Victorian manor house with communal GF areas including commercial kitchen as well as two upper floors which contain 15 dorm type bedrooms with separate shared bathroom facilities. There is also a separate converted stables and cottages which serve as self-catering accommodation for up to 17 people. The Project consists of the removal of the existing electrical wiring and outlets and replacing with new electric panel heaters and outlets/switches. The existing fire alarm system is to be stripped out and replaced with a fully addressable system. It is the contractor's responsibility to design and specify the new fire alarm system and mange the works alongside the electrical installation. In association with these works there is a requirement to fill and make good all holes, penetrations etc. left by the removal of the old equipment, and also to the new equipment and cables provided by the new installation, paying particular attention to the Fire Strategy of the building and providing fire stopping where required, by a third-party accredited fire stopping contractor. In full compliance with the buildings fire strategy. As these works require decoration & making good, the University have requested that the decoration of all affected areas is included within the programme of works. In association with providing the new electrical panel heaters, socket outlets and switches to the building the following electrical works will also be required to facilitate the new installation.

Property Damage & Business Interruption: Policy for material damage, business interruption, machinery breakdown and computer breakdown combined. This notice concerns a necessary portion of insurance cover for which a recent competitive tendering procedure, conducted via a framework agreement (YPO DPS Ref: 1198), did not yield a suitable result. The tenders received for this specific component of cover were demonstrably substantially above the prevailing market rate, preventing a complete award under the established framework. To have proceeded would have resulted in poor value for money being achieved. Neither was full retendering possible due to the imminent expiration of existing insurance provisions. Given the critical nature of this insurance cover for continued operations, and in accordance with Section 43 of the Procurement Act 2023 concerning switching to direct award when suitable tenders are not received, a direct award for this sub-threshold element of the cover is being made. This action is taken to ensure the University has 12 months of full, essential coverage, reflecting the extreme and unavoidable urgency of the situation, which could not have been reasonably foreseen or attributed to the contracting authority.
