KMPT is a large Mental Health NHS Trust that employs approximately 3,600 staff from a wide range of professions, and operates from over 260 sites across the whole of Kent and Medway. KMPT provides a full range of mental health services to 1.8 million people across Kent and Medway. The Trust's boundaries are shared with our social care partners in Kent County Council and Medway Council. In addition, KMPT operate a county-wide forensic psychiatry service. The contract value per annum is estimated to be between £170k and £200k. The Commencement Date for the delivery of the services is scheduled to be on 01 June 2024 at 00:00 hours. KMPT is a large Mental Health NHS Trust, providing a full range of adult mental health and learning disability services to our local population of 1.8 million people across Kent and Medway, as well as specialist services for adults in Sussex and Surrey. Our services are predominantly provided around key urban centres including Maidstone, Medway and Canterbury, but we provide a range of services in community locations, reflecting the urban and rural mix of the area. Each year we care for over 2,000 people in our hospitals and 54,000 people in the community. The Trust is seeking to work collaboratively with a Supplier of grounds and gardens maintenance services to achieve our ambitions in making a 'cared for environment' and help us meet user expectations. The contracted Supplier will be required to ensure that all sites are to be maintained to a high standard for our patients, visitors and staff to reflect the requirements of the client, the care quality commission (CQC) and NHS Patient lead assessments of the care environment (PLACE). Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (the "Contracting Authority" or "CA") is inviting tenders for the provision of Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check services, ensuring that appropriate pre and post-employment checks have been undertaken for all employees of the CA based on legislative and NHS Employers’ requirements. The Supplier will undertake periodical renewals of all existing DBS certificates for eligible employees, in addition to Fit and Proper Person (FPPR) checks for new employees and renewals. The Supplier must be registered with DBS and must be able to administer DBS checks and undertake Fit and Proper Person (FPPR) checks for the CA's employees.
