Urgent community response teams to provide urgent care to people in their homes which helps to avoid hospital admissions and enable people to live independently for longer. Through these teams, older people and adults with complex health needs who urgently need care, can get fast access to a range of health and social care professionals within two hours. This includes access to physiotherapy and occupational therapy, medication prescribing and reviews, and help with staying well-fed and hydrated. The proposed contract will start on 27th October 2025 and end on 31st March 2026.

This tender is for the provision of an E-cigarette voucher redemption scheme, to support Kent Community Health Foundation Trust's smoking cessation programmes. Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) SmokeFree service is the only provider of smoking cessation services in Kent. In order to continue to offer E-Cigarettes to all clients accessing the service it is our intention to issue an invitation to tender for providers of E-cigarettes in Kent, to provide a mechanism for KCHFT Smoke free clients to redeem vouchers they have been issued through the KCHFT episode of care, and receive e-cigarette products. Background to the requirement The One YOU smoke free service provides an abrupt stop smoking programme via weekly group, one to one, telephone and virtual support sessions, as well as 1:1 drop in sessions, to anyone who would like to give up smoking, over a seven-week period (which can be extended where flexibility is required). The aim of the programme is for clients to set a quit date by week 3 of the programme, which then leaves 4 weeks to achieve that date and to quit smoking, which is then recorded at the final session in week 7, and verified by a CO reading (or self-verified by the client where sessions are virtual and or they are unable to complete a CO reading). This provides the service with a 4-week quit outcome. The delivery of the service is via a core team that work for KCHFT, and sub contracts are held with pharmacy and primary care. Venues are sought across the County so that there is a targeted approach. Since April 2022 the service has been piloting an e-cigarette offer through the Smoke free programme utilising additional funding from the Local Authority Tobacco Control budget, in agreement with Commissioners. This pilot has been really successful and a business decision was made to ensure that we had sustained funding within our service budget to continue to provide this as part of our substantive offer moving forwards.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust’s (KCHFT) Public Health Bus delivers mobile public health services across Kent. The Public Health Bus is used by various Public Health services including the Children and Young People’s Counselling Service, Health Checks, Health Visiting, One You, School Health, TB nursing and Sexual Health. It’s use is coordinated by the Health Inequalities Team. Other non-public health KCHFT services can also use the bus and the associated costs reclaimed from their budgets. The overall aim of the KCHFT Public Health Bus is to mobilise public health and clinical services to our communities in Kent to those facing inequality in accessing healthcare. The Trust is not a business with shareholders, which means that everything we do is for our patients. All our staff live and work in the communities we serve and have extensive training and experience in delivering health care. Our people are our most important asset. The purpose for this specification is to identify the requirements for the maintenance, servicing and provision for break down cover for the Public Health Bus The Health Inequalities Team will support access for viewing the Public Health Bus necessary for the submission of tenders. This will be carried out over a two-day period to be advised pre-tender submission. The viewings will support the individual design nuances of this vehicle and current condition of worthiness.

We are looking to source an external provider who can provide a personalised coaching approach for our senior leaders which will help them to achieve their professional and personal goals. Many of our senior leaders have already completed formal academic qualifications and are registered professionals, because of this they require more individually focussed development. Coaching will support them to develop further by harnessing their abilities and enabling them to grow.

AHI Data Management System which will record all outcomes from clients who access a service to support them to give up smoking, lose weight or work through a lifestyle plan. The service aims to help users with leading healthier lifestyles and prevent long term ill health through behaviour change.

Works include removal and replacement of the OPD front and side walkways, along with refurbishment of the gas meter steps. Existing structures will be dismantled and disposed of, with reusable components retained where possible. New timber frameworks, decking, handrails, and access features will be installed, including a compliant ramp for wheelchair access. Electrical lighting will be safely disconnected and reinstated. Vegetation around the gas meter steps will be cleared, and new timber steps and handrails fitted to improve access.

The Authority did not have sufficient time to undertake a comprehensive competitive procurement process, including the consequential off‑boarding of the incumbent provider and onboarding of an alternative provider, should the incumbent not have been successful. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.
