Crisis houses are part of a multi-intervention offer designed to alleviate and de-escalate serious mental health crisis which would otherwise lead to hospital admission, this includes out-of-hours crisis café provision, statutory Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams and crisis houses. Crisis houses provide short-term 24-hour support and treatment in a community, home-like setting to those who perceive themselves to be in, or at risk of moving into, mental health crisis (self-defined).
Dingley Road is a supported living scheme for people with learning disabilities which supports Islington’s adult social care vision for Islington to be a place made up of strong, inclusive and connected communities, where regardless of background, people have fair and equal access to adult social care support that enables residents to live healthy fulfilling and independent lives.
Islington Council seeks a single contractor to provide comprehensive testing, repairs, and
servicing works to door entry and access control systems, vehicle access gates and barriers,
and security shutter systems, located on and within Islington Council residential properties, on
council housing estates, in residential blocks, estate car parks, community centres and
concierge offices.
The council is seeking to appoint one (1) contractor to cover borough wide repairs as well as
assisting the in-house team with out of hours emergency cover. This contract encompasses a
wide range of brickwork-related tasks, including repairs to residential properties, estates,
communal areas, and facilities. Specific duties involve rebuilding boundary and party walls, tank
housings, and performing localised repointing. Additionally, the scope extends to ground works,
paving, blockworks, and elevated structures such as chimney stacks and parapet walls.
The provision of building based early education, childcare and early childhood services to children and their parents/carers. These services will provide high quality early education to children under five years old.
This procurement was conducted in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, under Chapter 3 Section 7 Social and Other Specific Services (known as the “light touch” regime). Under Regulation 76 the council is free to establish a procedure, provided the procedure is sufficient to ensure compliance with the principles of transparency and equal treatment of economic operators (service providers). The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Drug and Alcohol Service in Islington is designed to help individuals aged 18 and over who have current or past drug or alcohol issues and are unemployed. The service aims to support these individuals in returning to employment through intensive, personalised support, rapid job searches, placement in paid employment, and ongoing support for both employees and employers. The IPS service model integrates employment and vocational services with drug and alcohol support, focusing on the needs of individuals seeking education or employment. It includes time-limited on-the-job training and post-placement support to help participants adjust to job demands and assist employers.
The nurse outreach service, funded through the Rough Sleeping Initiative, coordinates safe hospital discharges for patients with a history of rough sleeping and provides health checks within seven days for individuals booked into emergency accommodations.
This vital service offers flexible engagements with rough sleepers, providing support to access primary and secondary care, including joint outreach with the homeless outreach team and in-reach into hostels and Day Centres. The outreach nurse conducts health assessments, including assertive street outreach, supports individuals in accessing onward care, and is embedded within the wider rough sleeping multi-disciplinary team (MDT). This role addresses barriers to healthcare for homeless individuals, working to increase access and reduce emergency admissions.
London Borough of Islington (LBI) has financial systems which are in need of replacement. The new financial replacement system could be an Enterprise Resource Solution (ERP) with functionality for Finance, Procurement, Payroll and HR.
The requirement to replace the existing financial systems, which are at the end of their contracts affords the council the opportunity to procure a right-sized solution that delivers the council’s business needs and through preference for an ERP solution allows future integrations with other core business systems.
The preferred procurement route of using a CCS framework RM6194 Back Office Software will ensure a timely procurement at low costs.
The council is appointing four (4) providers to the framework agreement to deliver borough-wide roofing repair works (with the provision of scaffolding) and assist the in-house team with our emergency cover.
The appointed suppliers will support the council’s in-house teams in providing efficient, effective, customer-focused roofing repairs and maintenance services for example erecting and maintaining their own scaffolding; where necessary this will include abseiling to allow access to areas that cannot be reached by scaffolding to undertake external works such as pointing, window installation, undertaking weekly scaffold inspections, satisfactorily completing orders within the specified time periods, good customer liaison, efficient and accurate paperwork, prompt and accurate updating of electronic records, prompt submission of accounts and immediately responding to any recalls or complaints received.
The appointed suppliers will assist the in-house team with Out of Hours emergency cover to minimise risk to the health and safety of Residents and the public or damage to buildings and other structures (e.g. severe roof leaks, structural damage, securing windows or any other works where a scaffold would be required).
Call-off contracts for works will be issued evenly on an alternate basis between the four (4) contractors i.e. Contractor A receives jobs 1, 5, 9, 13 etc, Contractor B receives jobs 2, 6, 10, 14 etc, Contractor C receives jobs 3, 7, 11, 15 etc and Contractor D receives jobs 4, 8, 12,16 etc. This will be monitored closely using IT management systems put in place by the Service.
This service offers free, impartial, confidential, and accessible information, advice, and support on Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or disabilities (SEND), covering education, health, and social care. It includes guidance on the take-up and management of Personal Budgets. The service aims to empower children, parents, and young people with the necessary information and support to actively participate in decision-making processes. Compliance with Chapter 2 of the Statutory SEND Code of Practice, Section 32 of the Children and Families Act, and the National Minimum Standards is ensured.
The ‘Wellbeing’ Service will provide a comprehensive proactive early intervention and prevention offer which provides information and advice, one to one support and access to social interactions and community connectedness that aligns with Islington Early Intervention & Prevention strategy. The service will support adults aged 18+ in Islington, with an emphasis on those aged 50+.
Camden and Islington Young People’s Sexual Health Service: This service will provide high quality sexual health support to young people up to the age of 25. The service will provide clinical support and equip young people with the education and tools to best manage their relationships, sexual health, and wellbeing.
The ‘Core Offer’ will be comprised of: Provision of level 1 and 2 and limited level 3 Integrated Sexual Health Clinics (in both Camden and Islington), Health advice, emotional support, and counselling. Clinics are intended to be nurse led, with accessible facilities.
The ‘Community Offer’ will comprise of: Relationship and Sex Education, Clinical Outreach, Targeted and one-to-one support, Workforce Development, C-card
