Hythe and Dibden Parish Council are seeking two tenders for the refurbishment of a flat roof at the Parish Hall, West street, Hythe, Southampton SO45 6AA. Two types of roofing solution have been selected as being suitable and only manufacturers approved installers of the following types of roofing system will be considered. 1. IKO Felt Roof System 2. MOY Liquid Roof System The successful tenderer will be required to install only one of the above systems. Therefore, tendering contractors do not need to provide a Tender price submission for Option A and Option B, unless they are approved installers for both roof systems. For the IKO Felt Roof System, the contractor must: - be IKO approved/registered for the specified IKO system. - employ persons familiar with the application and installation requirements of the specified waterproofing system and its components. - employ IKO approved installers whom have undertaken and passed the IKO specified system induction programme. - carry a current and valid IKO approved installer card for the IKO Specified waterproofing system that should be less than 3 years old. The names of the IKO approved installers will be provided to IKO at tender return stage to ensure they are current and valid prior to any works being undertaken. For the MOY Liquid Roof System, the contractor must: - an approved and suitably trained MOY Contractor. - ensure that all operatives employed by them are suitably skilled to carry out the works described in MOY specification. Hythe and Dibden Parish Council is seeking tenders from suitable contractors for the installation of an air source heat pump to replace our existing gas boiler at the Parish Hall, Hythe, Hampshire.SO45 5AA The tender must include 1. Proposed installation designs, including plant room fitout and equipment. 2. Details of the estimated life span 3. Ongoing maintenance requirements and estimated costs. 4. The Flexibility to extend the system in future years. 5. The removal and decommission of the current heating system. In submitting a Tender, Tenderers accept that: • the Council may investigate and make enquiries regarding any project currently being undertaken or previously undertaken The Location of the Parish Hall is West Street Hythe Southampton SO45 6AA The Parish Hall is located a short walk from Hythe village centre alongside Ewart Recreation Ground. It offers a large hall and purpose-built stage. There is a large kitchen area with 2 serving hatches, a large reception area and cloakrooms. The hall is fully accessible and has a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. A lay out map of the building is attached for information, however it is recommended that t a site visit to the building is arranged. The Parish Hall facility is a single storey 1970's community build at a time of rudimentary thermal efficiency technology. The Council do have certification that the building has had cavity wall insulation, however this is currently being investigated as no other records regarding insulation are available. Part of building facility is double glazed however approximately a third still has old metal or wooden window/door frames with single glazing leading to draughts and heat loss. The roof is flat and is constructed of mastic asphalt overlaid with mineral felt, a contract has just been awarded to carry out repairs to the roof of the building. This work will start in September 2022. The current boiler a Lennox G24M is now over 15 years old and is becoming inefficient and is frequently breaking. A specification of the Lennox G24M boiler is attached. The boiler currently does not provide any heating to the lower part of the building after the front door area, which includes the ladies and gent's toilets. Layout plan of the building attached. The Council is looking for a substantial play area, commensurate with the available budget of £70,000. The play equipment and the layout must be interesting, innovative and inclusive. There is also a requirement for the play equipment to be fully accessible and fully inclusive to allow all children to play together regardless of ability. The vehicle must be fitted with appropriate warning beacons and high-visibility markings on the rear. The tractor is required to be supplied with a front loader, ballast box, and bucket. Tyres must be suitable for both road and grass use to ensure safe and effective operation across all Council sites.
