Horncastle Town Council started work in 2017 to provide a new cemetery for the town. The new cemetery named 'Horncastle Woodland Cemetery' is hoped to be open later this year following the completion of the work detailed below: 1) Tarmac driveway through community woodland 2) To rectify a small wet area of land 3) Installation of concrete head borders Horncastle Town Council will consider tenders for individual elements if you do not wish to quote for all work required. If you do quote for all the work, please submit an individual price for each section rather than an overall total cost. More than one contractor may be selected for the work. Horncastle Town Council invites tenders for the grass cutting of verges/amenity space throughout Horncastle. The contract will be awarded for a 1 year period initially with the option to extend by a further year dependent on a satisfactory review at the end of the year, and an acceptable price for any additional areas of grass to be added to the contract being agreed for the subsequent year. If you wish to tender for the work please submit a total annual contract price as well as a price for carrying out an additional cut of all the grass areas. The decision on whether any additional cuts will be required will be determined by the Town Council. Please state whether prices quoted include/exclude VAT. Please could you also provide details of the machinery/equipment you will be using to carry out the contract. Applicants will need to carry a minimum public liability insurance cover of £5,000,000. Tenders are being sought for repairs to a damaged spire of a Victorian Cemetery Chapel. Suspected corrosion of embedded metalwork has occurred in the masonry supporting the spire. The embedded ties and rods are to be replaced with stainless steel and the stonework is to be repaired using indent repairs and new stonework as appropriate. In order to access the stonework for repair it will be necessary to lift or remove the tiled timber spire construction temporarily. Tenders are being sought to improve the recreation space at Prospect Street, Horncastle to make it into an attractive, welcoming and safe community space for families. Consultation has taken place with the community and the survey results are shown in the attached specification document. The final design must incorporate some of the facilities identified at Question 2 of the survey. Our core objectives for this project are: • create an intergenerational space • family focussed • create a safe and inclusive space Tenderers are asked to provide: a) details of previous projects of a comparable nature showing the breadth of your portfolio b) Details of professional warrantees and any guarantees offered c) Potential start date for work d) Estimated duration of proposed work A site visit is essential although will not be accompanied as the site is always open and accessible.
