We will be running a tender process with the intention of awarding a framework agreement for the design, build, install and deinstall of decorative Christmas trees and installations at HM Tower of London and Kensington Palace and are seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced / qualified suppliers. This Tender Process will be divided into two lots, we intend to appoint one supplier to each lot. Suppliers may apply for one or both lots. The lots will be set up as follows. Lot 1: HM Tower of London The TOL Christmas experience is solely outdoors. It is based on a particular theme which is rooted within the unique stories of the Tower. While the theme changes every year, the locations of the outdoor installations remain the same. Some installations will be beautifully decorated Christmas trees with bespoke decorations to fit that year's theme; other installations will include more props and set dressing. The Christmas audience is social families, who are looking for fun and memorable experiences. The budget for TOL is 70k per annum. Lot 2: Kensington Palace The audience at KP is of an adult and international audience. The theme at KP - Victoria's Childhood Christmas - was introduced for Christmas 2024. It will remain constant in 2025 and 2026, but with narrative variations each year. The focus at KP is on indoor installations. The budget for KP is 20k per annum. Exclusion criteria: Bidders must have relevant experience of developing and delivering decorative and/or interpretive displays for historic buildings, for example museums, galleries, historic shops etc. If you do not meet this criterion, your proposal will not be considered at Tender Stage Additional information: This agreement will initially be for a period of one year for Christmas 2025, with an option for a further two extensions upon agreement by both parties. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. HRP reserves the right not to award an agreement.

The proposed Destination Royal Hillsborough Programme with investment from Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council (LCCC) and Belfast Regional City Deal (BRCD) aims to enhance and strengthen the position of Royal Hillsborough as a heritage village. This will attract visitors and enhance the village for the benefit of the locals, ensure its future protection and present Royal Hillsborough as a coherent and compelling tourism destination with a unique sense of place. The Programme proposal comprises £26m of capital investment across a variety of projects summarized below, the: 1. Development of Royal Hillsborough Forest, 2. Restoration and Development of Royal Hillsborough Courthouse, 3. Restoration and Development of the Fort as a Vibrant Heritage and Outdoor Events Space, 4. Development of a Social Enterprise Café in Royal Hillsborough Forest, 5. Development of Royal Hillsborough Public Realm, 6. Parking and Vehicular Access Infrastructure, 7. Digital Interpretation. The purpose of this procurement process is to successfully appoint a Project Manager led Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) for projects two and three above, the Restoration and Development of Hillsborough Courthouse and the Restoration and Development of the Fort as a Vibrant Heritage and Outdoor Events Space respectively. INVITATION TO TENDER DETAILS - THE BIG BAHOOEY FESTIVAL We are running a tender process with the intention of awarding a contract for the provision of a Festival Producer and are inviting suitably experienced / qualified organisations to tender. Event Date: Late May Bank holiday – 2026, 2027, 2028 and possible extension for 2029. HRP’s requirements: Please refer to the Specification of Requirements for full details. ‘The Big Bahooey’ will be staged at Hampton Court Palace during the late May Bank Holiday weekend. The event is a fun, family, arts-based festival, responding to the palace’s history as a pleasure palace and place for entertaining. The first Big Bahooey took place in May 2025 and we are looking to build on this success. We had a total of 21,000 visitors across three days and expect to increase this figure substantially going forward. As a result HRP are looking for a festival producer that prides themselves on being able to create and deliver large scale shows and diverse programmes that will attract social families; including fun circle shows, larger than life roving acts, colourful parades, interactive stage shows and unique spectacles for well-respected and successful family festivals and events all over the world. The festival will take place across the East Front gardens and will largely involve simple set ups with minimal infrastructure such as rope arenas, free-standing backdrops and basic staging all with flexible positioning. We would also like there to be a showstopper act that changes each year and is a complete surprise to the audience. There will be one main stage for headline performances. HRP are seeking a flexible, modular, sustainable demountable solution for our dress showcases at the Banqueting House. These showcases will be used for an exhibition opening in March 2027 and will then be de-rigged and re-used and re-configured for future exhibitions. HRP requires a suite of modular demountable dress cases that can fit together to flex up or down on size depending on configuration. Minimum footprint 900mm x 900mm and minimum height 2200mm. We would ideally like some 1500 x 1500 modules with seamless pane of glass, however, we would consider using 4 x 900 x 900 modules as an alternative to this. LED lighting is required for both top & bottom of cases. The use of display cases allows HRP to enable the public to access objects that might otherwise be too fragile or precious to exhibit.
