The Post Excavation Services contract has been awarded to Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd to deliver the final stages of historic environment investigation. The HS2 Project presents an unprecedented opportunity to explore the country’s past, through the UK’s largest ever linear infrastructure project. The appointed Supplier will provide historic environment and project management expertise to deliver HS2’s end-to-end post-excavation programme, including the analysis, dissemination, publication and archiving of HS2’s historic environment assets from along the line of route. In procuring this contract HS2 Ltd is delivering commitments made by the Secretary of State for Transport with regard to historic environment, through a programme of post-excavation that provides public benefit and realises HS2’s archaeological legacy. The key contract objectives are to enhance knowledge by: • contributing to key questions about prehistory and history; • testing interpretative concepts and methodological techniques; and • challenging the way that the historic environment we investigate and interpret the past.

This procurement is to establish a single supplier Framework Agreement under which there will be Call-Offs for the supply of Low Voltage (LV) Power Components primarily for the new Phase One Stations to be constructed at Euston, Old Oak Common, Birmingham Curzon Street and Interchange (Base Scope). These LV Power Components may also be required and called off under the Framework Agreement as Optional Scope at other sites (see VI.3 below). The Framework Agreement is being established for use by the Phase One Station Contractors, HS2 and for use by other Contracting Bodies defined in VI.3 below (Supply Call-Off Contracts).

The appointed Contractor is to provide safe and effective incident management and response, proactive area patrolling, close personal protection and management of locked on protesters. The appointed Contractor is to carry out these operations with minimal impact on the HS2 programme, whilst operating at the highest safety and operational levels to minimise any reputational impact on HS2 Ltd and the HS2 project. The Contractor is expected to be insight led, with gathering of insight forming a significant part of the contract, the remainder being reactive to incident.

High Speed Two (HS2) Limited has awarded a Framework Agreement for the provision of engineering services in relation to Railway Systems and Systems Integration (RSSI). The core objective and main value to be delivered by the RSSI Framework Agreement is right first-time integration of railway systems contracts and the wider Rail Network activities that will that ultimately culminate in successful handover to the end-state operators.

To deliver the HS2 programme, HS2 Ltd needs to ensure innovation is embraced and driven throughout the design and build of the railway; enabling increased efficiencies to be delivered and allowing time, cost and quality targets to be met, whilst creating fewer emissions and noise. To support Innovation across the HS2 programme, HS2 Ltd has awarded a Contract for the provision of Innovation Independent Advisory Support services; focusing on the technical, engineering and supply chain aspects of innovation and providing independent technical expertise to de-risk and prove the value of an innovation to the wider HS2 programme.

Lot 1: ISO Certification and Carbon Management Assessment Services - As part of this Lot, HS2 Ltd has appointed a Supplier to provide certification services of its management systems to the following standards: - ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management - ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management - ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System - The latest standard for Carbon Management in Infrastructure, as determined by the British Standards Institution (BSI) (e.g., PAS2080:2016). The Supplier will provide evidence for HS2 Ltd's continual compliance to the certified management systems and identify areas for continual improvement. This will support the continued effectiveness and efficiencies of HS2 Ltd's internal controls. Lot 2: Environmental Data Verification Services - As part of this Lot, HS2 Ltd has appointed a Supplier to provide environmental data verification services to support development and publication of its annual Environmental Sustainability Progress Report (ESPR) statement. The Supplier will help HS2 Ltd ensure that best practices are adhered to in relation to environmental data assurance, data reporting systems and any topic specific requirements e.g., carbon management.

HS2 requires the provision of software support services for its Contruent Enterprise (PRISM) system, an integrated project lifecycle management system which provides secure, role-based access to budgeting, progress and performance measurement, earned value cost and schedule analysis, change control and cost forecasting. This contract is to provide support for the bespoke reports and customised technical environment made to the standard Contruent offering. To transfer knowledge and upskill to HS2 resources to enable self-sufficiency moving forwards.

HS2 requires the provision of software support services for its Contruent Enterprise (PRISM) system, an integrated project lifecycle management system which provides secure, role-based access to budgeting, progress and performance measurement, earned value cost and schedule analysis, change control and cost forecasting. This contract is to provide support for the bespoke reports and customised technical environment made to the standard Contruent offering. To transfer knowledge and upskill to HS2 resources to enable self-sufficiency moving forwards. Provide training to new users. The software is proprietary software and therefore can't be provided by another supplier. Please note: the standstill period for this procurement will end at midnight on Friday 2nd May (inclusive).

This procurement is to establish a single supplier Framework Agreement for the design and supply of station building systems, including Fire Detection and Alarm System, Building Energy Management System, Lighting Control System, Public Address & Voice Alarm System, Customer Information System and Station Information Management System primarily for the new Phase One Stations to be constructed at Euston, Old Oak Common, Birmingham Curzon Street and Interchange. These key station building systems may also be required and called off under the Framework Agreement as Optional Scope at other HS2 sites (see VI.3 below). The Framework Agreement is being established for use by HS2 Ltd (Professional Services Call-Off Contracts) and for use by the Phase One Station Contractors (Design and Supply Call-Off Contracts with Optional Scope for Engineering Services) and for use by the other Contracting Bodies defined in VI.3 below.
