To remove the play equipment from the play area in Punnetts Town Recreation Ground disposing of junior multiplay and signage. Both the toddler 1 bay 2 swings and junior 1 bay 2 swings need removing and will be taken elsewhere. To remove and store securely offsite until ready for reinstallation rocker elephant, rocker fire engine, toddler multiplay, fencing, gate, seats and bins. To remove and dispose of woodchip surfacing at a suitable waste disposal site. To ensure that drainage is working and is clear, if not clear to make necessary repairs. Raise the level of drainage by installing a layer of concrete cobbles/hardcore to 150mm, MOT type 1 layer, rubber mulch layer.
We are looking at this being an accessible site that can be used for all however concentrating on the junior and toddler age group. The stored items will need to be reinstalled we are then thinking of installing a junior multiplay, an inclusive roundabout with drainage under, play panels, mother and baby swing, basket swing, double springer and would welcome any other ideas and possible plans for the work.

Additional information: All contractors will need to have suitable insurance, complete risk assessments when this reaches the tender stage, be able to provide warranties, keep the site secure, be able to continue to provide access to the nearby surgery and village hall and parking in the car park and be able to cover health and safety requirements
Drainage work to upper football pitch, Tower Recreation Ground, Heathfield, East Sussex
This is a 2 year scheme. In the first year to install a new primary drainage system which will need to be dug by a trenching machine that lifts the soil into a trailer to minimise mess. In the second year to install sand slit drains using an approved slit trencher.

To remove the current play and ancillary equipment, some of which will later need reinstating. To remove the current woodchip surfacing, to check that drainage is working and is clear, if not clear to make necessary repairs. To prepare surface and then install either rubber mulch or wet pour (we will need quotes for each). New equipment to be installed to include a junior multiplay, an inclusive roundabout with drainage under, 2 play panels, swing set with junior, baby and basket seats, double springer and single springer. To reinstate 2 seats, 2 bins and toddler multiplay. Wooden fencing to remain in situ whilst work is being undertaken and gate to either remain in situ or if easier to be stored during works and then reinstated. Site to be secure during work which ideally needs to be undertaken in the school summer holidays due to the adjacent car park being used by the school. Access to the nearby doctor's surgery and village hall needs to be maintained including for disabled vehicles
Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council are inviting tenders from contractors experienced in grounds maintenance (including pitches), inspections, maintenance of play equipment and general repairs.
The Contract will run from 1st June 2024 to 31st May 2029 with the possibility of extending for a further 2 years.
