The project has grant funding to provide a 1km tarmac path suitable for wheelchairs, buggies and cycles and improve the hard surface of the initial section of the Green Lane bridleway. It will be the first section of a path linking Haddenham to Stone and on to Aylesbury.
This opportunity to tender is for a 475m2 single storey sports and community building in the village of Haddenham, Buckinghamshire for Haddenham Parish Council. The building includes two team changing rooms and officials changing room - all to Sport England / Football Association standards - a large lobby (assembly space), as well as a function room with associated kitchen, WCs and storage.
Haddenham Parish Council wish to purchase equipment, flooring and installation of a new play area aimed at children up to the age of 8.
Suppliers are invited to submit their costed design suggestions to the Council. Visits to site are encouraged and can be arranged with the Clerk.
The Council will consider the quotations and put together a shortlist before public consultation takes place to select the preferred design.
Woodways Pavilion is a used by local sports clubs throughout the week. It has showers, a kitchen and changing rooms. It is also home to The Whistler which has a bar area. The toilets in the Pavilion serve the entire building.
The cubicle toilets are struggling to cope with amount of usage and not having a proper accessible disabled toilet. The council wishes to reconfigure and re-furbish the toilets to a higher standard to meet the needs of the Pavilion.
Additional information: We strongly recommend interested organisations to arrange a site visit to Woodways Pavilion to view the existing toilets.
The Parish Council is open to alternate suggestions on the specification provided it still includes the provision for an additional toilet, a full DDA compliant toilet and within £25,000 budget.
This Invitation to Tender has been prepared by Haddenham Parish Council for the purpose of inviting proposals for the provision of grounds maintenance of the Parish Council's land and open spaces and devolved services.
The contract term will be for a period of two years and 5 months. commencing on the 1st July 2023 and expiring on the 31st December 2025. At the discretion of the Council the Contract may be extended for a further year.
Haddenham is an ancient village with links back to the Doomsday. It has developed over the years and encompasses conservation areas, a nature reserve and many amenities including sports pitches, play areas and village greens.
In recent years, Haddenham was designated a strategic settlement area and there is a currently a significant expansion of residential homes. This in turn is providing the Council with additional facilities and responsibilities which will add further areas to be maintained and will be incorporated in this contract with due notice.
The Council also elected to take on devolved services from the principal authority (Buckinghamshire Council) to undertake the maintenance of verges, footpaths and hedges within the Parish.

Haddenham Parish Council is inviting tenders for the village grounds maintenance and pitch marking contract from 1st April 2025. The contract will run until 31st March 2029.
The successful contractor will perform grass cutting on a regular schedule, pitch marking of the football pitches on both of the parish recreation grounds as well as regular bin emptying, litter picking and hedge trimming.
The grounds include recreation grounds, sport pitches, play areas, cemeteries and footpaths.
The opportunity will be open to tender from 6th August 2024 and tenders must be received by 5pm on 25th September 2024. A full timeline is available in the specification document.
