Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), as the contracting authority for Greater Manchester Police, seeks bids from suppliers with experience in delivering a cloud-based Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) suitable for policing.

GMP wishes to appoint a single external organisation for the Provision of: Reactive and Preventive maintenance along with Minor Project Work (MTC) The contract is being established for sole use by GMP and will run for a fixed term of 3 years, with the option to extend up a further 2 years on an annual basis.

An Equine Farrier Service to be provided on site at Hough End Centre, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. The Farrier would be expected to attend site each Monday and Friday. The Mounted Unit of GMP has an establishment of approximately 20 horses which are shoed every 4-5 weeks.

Greater Manchester Police are tendering for the provision of a comprehensive Doctor (other medical professionals, e.g., OHA/Nurses/OH Technicians may be needed) and Selected Medical Practitioner Service. The successful contractor will work in conjunction with the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service) and members of the Force as appropriate.

The Project: To provide all planned maintenance in accordance with statute and good working practise, attendance to reactive works and the provision and delivery of all consequential quoted remediation works

In summary, the force requires a solution that is intuitive, accessible and easily useable for all levels of users, providing a consistent experience regardless of the size of the room, e.g., good audio coverage, camera shows all positions, screens large enough to be useable when presenting. Many of the current solutions in place are none of these and over time have got to a point where at worst the equipment doesn’t work and at best gives an inconsistent experience to the users, never knowing what they will get before they turn up to a room. As some rooms are “ok”, these rooms will need to be evaluated at the time of rollout and either left “as is” or adapted to the new standard.

The Force requires a solution that will allow Police Officers to respond more effectively to crime reports by implementing the use of a Video Calling and Response service to members of the public using their own devices / smart phones. This will record and capture the video call, allow 2-way exchange of documents, text messages (with language support) and real time GPS Location. It will also allow video triage of 999 calls from the public to improve situational awareness and provide a digital first account from members of the public who are first on scene and able to share video from their smart phones.

The Authority is seeking to award a contract for the disposal of ICT equipment e.g., Tablets, laptops, smart phones, PDA’s, HDD/SDD etc. most of which contains sensitive information.

The Authority is looking to award a contract(s) for the supply and delivery of ammunitions, as detailed within this tender documentation.

Lot 1- GMP are seeking an E portfolio solution that can deliver individual learning plans and portfolio progression tracking for student officer training, Detective portfolios (PIP2) and Apprenticeships. Lot 2- GMP require a system that tracks portfolio progress throughout the learner journey.
