NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (GICB) seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations that have the necessary capability and capacity to provide a Dementia Advisor (DA) Service in Gloucestershire. The service will enable individuals and their informal carers/family to access low-level community resources for sustained support Staff delivering the DA service will have appropriate skills and knowledge for supporting those with dementia: o dementia training: all staff will have Tier 1 dementia awareness and those in direct contact with those living with dementia will have Tier 2 basic skills that are compliant with Dementia Training Standards Framework www.skillsforhealth.org.uk and Gloucestershire's Dementia Training And Education Strategy o Staff will be confident and competent in supporting individuals to improve their health and wellbeing, and to self-manage their condition as appropriate and able. o Safeguarding o Mental capacity o Equality and diversity o Confidentiality The service will have capacity to support on average 1600 individuals per month, providing active support to 1250 individuals with around a further 350 individuals being offered minimal maintenance support. The average DA caseload will be of 200 individuals supported using a range of contact: telephone, email, letter, home visit, video calls or contact at a group activity The DA service: o will offer broad access to the service and will have a timely response to referrals o will offer a range of interventions according to the preference of individual. For example; telephone, email, face to face or group activity o advice and guidance will draw on resources that are evidence based and aligned with the Gloucestershire Dementia Strategy's key messages o will proactively engage with communities to identify and understand issues and challenges in accessing the service. The service will align with the local Dementia Strategy in improving accessible and appropriate support to those who are isolated, younger or members of minority ethnic groups o will support an individual's family/friends to care by educating, training and providing information resources as well as signposting to other countywide opportunities GICB is seeking to enter into a contract with the preferred bidder for an initial period of 3-years with an option to extend for a further 2-year period. The successful bidder will receive an annual contract value of £190,848 for the contract period (including the 2-year extension option). NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (GICB) seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations that have the necessary capability and capacity to provide Primary Medical Care Services at Drybrook Surgery in Gloucestershire. The practice's registered list size as of 1.4.2023 is 4094 patients. Drybrook Surgery requires the provision of innovative services to meet the needs of the population. There will need to be an appropriate skill mix of staff will be required to deliver the contractual requirements. This is likely to include General practitioners, advanced clinical practitioners who can treat and manage acute illnesses, a nursing team who can deliver treatment room care and long-term condition management, non-clinical staff who can actively sign post and support patients with accessing primary care services and management of administrative tasks. The contract holder will be a member of the Forest of Dean (FOD) Primary Care Network (PCN) and so will also have access to ARRS resources of which the PCN are responsible for employing and workings with practices to utilise the additional role staff skill mix. NHS Gloucestershire ICB is seeking to enter into a contract with the preferred bidder for an initial period of 5-years with an option to extend for a further 3-year period. NHS Gloucestershire ICB expects that the service provided will represent value for money. The successful bidder will receive an estimated annual contract value of £665,000 per annum for the contract period (including the 3-year extension option). NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (GICB) seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations that have the necessary capability and capacity to provide short-term additional Autism Assessment capacity for Children and Young People to support the autism pathway in Gloucestershire. There is a national drive from NHS England to improve the timeliness of an autism diagnosis for children and young people and ensure that areas are focussing on pre and post diagnosis support. These areas will be the focus of any future Joint Ofsted/CQC SEND Inspection. The outcomes for children and young people from a robust autism pathway include: reduced likelihood of mental health crisis reduced admissions to Tier 4 reduced use of residential care reduced school exclusions, and Improved transition to becoming a healthy adult. There has been an increase in the number of children and young people waiting for an Autism assessment. The NHS providers do not currently have the capacity to see all these children and young people in a timely manner and there are now a significant number of children and young people in Gloucestershire on the waiting lists for an autism assessment and diagnosis. The service required from the successful bidder is to provide additional capacity within Gloucestershire to reduce these waiting lists and ensure children and young people received quality autism assessments in a timely manner. Please note: this contract is specific to the delivery of autism assessments and does not include ADHD assessments. Aims and Objectives of the Service The successful provider will work in partnership with the NHS in Gloucestershire to deliver autism assessments for the children identified by clinicians within Gloucestershire Health and Care Services NHS Foundation Trust. The service will support the NHS teams in Gloucestershire to reduce the current waiting lists and ensure children and young people receive quality autism assessments in a reasonable timescale. NHS Gloucestershire ICB is seeking to enter into a contract with the preferred bidder for an initial period of 18-months, with an option to extend for a further 12-month period, to commence on 1 March 2024. NHS Gloucestershire ICB expects that the service provided will represent value for money. The successful bidder will receive a contract value of £239,687 for the initial 18-month contract period. Bidders unable to provide the service within the cost envelope detailed above will be excluded from this procurement.
