Police and Crime Commissioners are required to undertake a Victims Needs Assessment every four(4) years to understand local victim needs and the service provision available. The assessment will inform local and future commissioning of Victim Services. The assessment will need to take into consideration the current economic climate and the impact on services.
The Commissioners require a specific focus on children and young people, and victims with protected characteristics in order to ensure that services are accessible and inclusive for all victims.
Three individual needs assessments are required across the populations within the force areas of South Wales Police, Dyfed Powys Police and Gwent Police. We require one provider for all three areas. South Wales will lead the procurement exercise on behalf of Gwent and Dyfed Powys Commissioners.
