GNI (UK) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gas Networks Ireland, registered in England and Wales. The principal activity of the company is the transportation of natural gas(1) together with GNI, through two pipelines from Moffat in Scotland to Ballough in Ireland :and (2) from Belfast to Derry (through the North-West Pipeline) in Northern Ireland, and from Gormanston, Ireland to Belfast (through the South-North Pipeline).
The purpose of this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is to select an electricity supplier to supply electricity GNI (UK) Limited. Price and contract flexibility will be key determinants in the selection of suppliers. Additional selection criteria will also apply, as noted in Section 5 of ITT.
Invitations are invited from licenced electricity suppliers, for the supply of electricity to GNI(UK) Limited in accordance with the information contained in sections of this document and in accordance with data transferred electronically with the documents
Northern Ireland's requirement for Balancing Gas Services (Balancing Gas Sell and Balancing Gas Buy) is being tendered by Gas Networks Ireland on behalf of GNI (UK) for the period from 1st October 2023 until 1st October 2024 on behalf of GNI(UK), PTL, BGTL, and WTL, (together the "NI Network Operators").
Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) aims to establish a single party framework. The scope of the project is to establish a seamless, secure, and fully integrated key access control system that enhances operational efficiency, ensures the safety of assets and personnel across GNI remote sites in Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland/Isle of Man/Scotland.
This system must comply with Directive EU2022/2557 on the resilience of critical entities.

The Scope of Work is to establish a Framework for the Provision of Facilities Management, and
Associated Integrated Workplace Services including Projects and Minor Works to Gas Networks Ireland, Northern
Ireland (NI) and Scotland. The Scope of the Contract encompasses operations across key strategic sites across ROI,
Northern Ireland and Scotland. This includes but it is not limited to main offices Networks Services Centre (NSC)
Dublin and Gasworks Road (GWR) Cork, Control/SCADA properties, Stores/Depots, Regional offices (which do not
have a fulltime presence but include NI and Scotland) and ancillary buildings related to gas installations
Provision of Electricity in Scotland for GNI UK at its compressor stations and gas installations in South-West Scotland (SWSOS) (and other locations in Scotland as per business requirements).
