Forestry England requires the Contractor to carry out the following works to facilitate the extraction and processing of aggregates at the Dunwich Quarry: - Removal of material from processed stockpiles. - Processing of raw materials including crushing and screening. - Management of the by-product (sand), which must remain on site and cannot be used to backfill historical and ecological work site. - Maintenance and reinstatement of quarry floor and safety features - Maintenance and reinstatement of egress and quarry roads, during quarrying operations - Loading of aggregate during quarry operations - Daily inspections as required by the Quarries Regulations in accordance with Client's requirements. - Soil and overburden excavation, haulage within the quarry and tip creation. - Restoration works; to include scarifying gravel face to a safe angle and levelling off the quarry floor. - Provision of competent supervision to oversee the above activities by an appointed 8.1(d) in accordance with the Quarries Regulations. We will be awarding a contract for the design and build of a new timber framed coppice shelter located in Silk Wood at Westonbirt Arboretum. The new shelter will help us continue the critical programme of woodland management and secure the future of coppicing at Westonbirt. The new shelter will provide cover for our coppicers which will enable them to undertake tasks in all weather and allow them to store materials and products associated with the coppice. The Contractor is required to design and build a new shelter which will be made from timber grown and milled at Westonbirt. The shelter will be similar in style to other buildings at the arboretum such as the Silkwood Barn and the Westonbirt Woodworks. The building will be of oak frame construction, traditionally built with a boarded timber roof. This contract is for the design, supply, installation & commissioning of suitable electro-mechanical equipment (turbine, MIV, manifold, generator, control system and ancillaries). This contract is for the supply and delivery of Christmas trees to our sites across England.

The works include internal/external redecoration of the main office, external timber repairs and redecoration to adjacent buildings, new external lighting, new courtyard surface, creation of a new walkway in the 'Big Barn' and new IT cabling in the main office.

The contract has two phases. The first phase is the design and installation of a replacement air conditioning system to our Bristol office. The second is maintenance and servicing of the newly installed system along with other mechanical and electrical infrastructure on site. The works are replacement of the air conditioning system at our Bristol office with a new VRV system. The existing chiller has failed multiple times and spare parts are getting difficult to source. It is therefore proposed to change the four-pipe unit with multiple VRV units covering the building in zones. The works include replacement of the existing air conditioning system and integration of the new system into the existing air handling unit (AHU). There is also a requirement to replacement the BMS system which is no longer supported by the existing manufacturers who has ceased trading. We expect the construction works to be delivered by 25th September 2023. We expect the works to be phased with the building in part occupation during the works. The servicing and maintenance, operational phase to commence at completion of the construction works and then continue yearly for 4 years with an option for a further two one year extensions.
