Flitwick Town Council Youth Locality Services 2023-2026
Tenders are invited for the supply of Flitwick Youth Locality Services 2023 - 2026.
Flitwick Town Council is committed to providing quality youth services to support the needs of young people in the town.
Flitwick Town Council owns and maintains The Hub adjacent to the Millennium Recreation Ground at Dunstable Road, Flitwick. This facility was fully refurbished in 2021 and is used as a venue for the provision of Youth Services, along with detached engagements.
Examples of the range of core services expected to be included with the Youth Service is as follows:
• 2-hour youth club service for school years 5 & 6 every week (excluding planning time, term time only)
• 2 hours youth club service for school years 7 & 8 weekly (excluding planning time, term time only)
• 2.5 hours youth club service for school years 9+ weekly (excluding planning time, term time only)
• 4 hours detached work each week, including one late evening, all year round.
• 4 hours per week open access half term session/s (February, April, May, July/August, October)
• Monitoring as and when required
• Attend multi agency meeting as and when required
• Work as part of a multi agency team (including with CBC and Beds Police)
• Report to FTC bimonthly.
• Apply for grants/funding for additional projects.
• Attend safeguarding meetings.
• Complete MA Forms.
Additional services that maybe required:
• 1 day school engagement every other week (Including Woodland and Redborne)
• 2 hours employment access from The Hub each week for 16 years+
• Annual Job fair to be delivered from The Hub
• Summer Holiday 'pop up' sports sessions in Millennium Park - 2 hours per week
• 1 hour each month for young people to access The Hub for STI tests, sanitary products, and contraception.
To extend our current skatepark facility in the town to include elements suitable for children aged 6 and under, be accessible to all, of concrete structure and in keeping with the current equipment. This project must be completed and paid for by 31st December 2024.

The specification includes strip out works, heating mechanical installation works, domestic hot water heater - mechanical installation, controls installation works, building works & making good, commissioning & testing.
