Fenland District Council are looking to appoint a specialist dredging contractor to remove recently deposited soft, slightly organic sandy silt down to a level of 1m CD within the tight confines of the Wisbech Yacht Harbour, located in Cambridgeshire on the Tidal River Nene.

Fenland District Council is currently looking for software which will enable a more modernised approach to its Cemeteries and Bereavement Services.
The Council is looking at ways to increase back-office efficiencies, provide improved administration of burials and interments, and offer a self-serve option for funeral directors to book burials/interments. Software is to include Mapping of burial sites, and the potential to consider an option of recording and monitoring memorial inspections and the ability to be accessed remotely via android device.

ABANDONMENT - Street Lighting Repairs, Maintenance & Replacement Works Contract 2014-2027 + 2 Year Extension to 2029
Notice that the Procurement has been abandoned.
We refer to the above procurement for the provision of Street Lighting Repairs, Maintenance and Replacement Works Contract.
The Council writes to notify you that the procurement for the DN726215 for the provision of Street Lighting Repairs, Maintenance and Replacement Works Contract has been abandoned.
The decision not to proceed with this procurement is due to the fact that at the conclusion of the award procedure in question, no bidder has been selected to perform the contract.
Please note that the Council intends to commence a new procurement process for the provision of Street Lighting Repairs, Maintenance and Replacement Works at the earliest opportunity following a review of the scope of the requirement and procurement documentation. The Council must ensure that continuity of service for this provision is maintained whilst the new procurement progresses, therefore the Council shall continue to contract with the existing contractor in the interim and until the new procurement has concluded.
Therefore a new opportunity will be published in due course.
Fenland District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council will soon be tendering to appoint a streetlight service provider for their streetlight repair and maintenance works contract which is due to expire at the beginning of July 2023. The contract will facilitate repairs, maintenance and small-scale replacement and upgrade works where required for approximately 1690 streetlights in Fenland and 1800 streetlights in South Cambridgeshire.
In preparation for this tender the authorities are seeking advice from potential contractors to inform the scope and delivery of services. Interested contractors are invited to respond to the following short list of questions and indicate whether they would be happy to attend a follow-up meeting with the authorities. Meetings, where held, will be kept succinct, undertaken virtually, and will take place around February 2023 period. Participation in the questionnaire and meetings does not constitute a formal expression of interest or invitation to tender. A full tender opportunity notice will be published for contractors to respond to in due course.
