Fareham Borough Council will be launching an opportunity for a Supplier Contract for the provision of a wide variety of cleaning services at various Authority owned or managed sites and buildings throughout the Borough of Fareham together with specialist street washing and gum removal in its Town Centre shopping areas Summary Scope of the Service Required: • Housing Establishments: (sixty-seven separate sheltered & non-sheltered places of multiple occupancy) • Council Depot: (toilets, offices & associated rooms) • Public Conveniences: (fourteen in total) • Street Operatives Rest Rooms (three in total) • Pavilions: (seven in total) plus a Cemetery Chapel • Car Parks: (toilets, lifts, stairwells, lobbies & ticket machines) • Town Centre Shopping Area: (specialist street washing & gum removal) • Public Notice Boards (forty-three in total) • Welcome Notice Boards to outdoor recreation sites (nineteen in total) • Civic Offices (window cleaning and other duties) • Solent Airport at Daedalus (control tower and amenity buildings) • Portchester Crematorium (public areas and office) • Various Sites: (ad-hoc requirement for single clean-up operations by other Council departments e.g., Environmental Health or Housing) Contract: • Commencement Date: Tuesday 3 October 2023 • 5 years, extendable by up to two additional years Timescales for tender (stages/award): • Tender Period: Wednesday 25 January 2023 to Friday 3 March 2023 • Deadline to request site visit: Monday 30 January 2023 • Site visits: Friday 3 February 2023 • Intention to Award letters Monday 17 April 2023, followed by 10 calendar day Standstill Period. Fareham Borough Council are looking to appoint a suitably experience contractor to carry out the following works. Firstly the demolition of the six storey lift slab multi storey car park and preparation of the site. Followed by the construction of a new 139 space surface car park with PV canopies and EV charging points. With adaptions to existing vehicle and pedestrian access points. Whilst working in this busy town centre location the successful contractor will be expected to minimise disruption to the public and nearby businesses. Works are required to be completed early in 2024 to align with the opening of Fareham Live.
