The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust ("The Authority") provides a 999-emergency service for people in need of urgent medical treatment and transport. Our dedicated and skilled staff work 365 day a year, 24 hours a day to make sure patients receive the best possible care. The Authority is one of 10 independent NHS ambulance services that operates in the UK and covers the six counties which make up the East of England - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. The Authority employs more than 5,000 staff and 1,000 volunteers to deal with 1,384,547 emergency calls every year. Staff and volunteers are trained and experienced in caring for patients in a variety of situations, ranging from life-threatening illness and injury to less serious situations such as falls in the home or patients with minor injuries. The current payroll function which includes both pay and pension has been outsourced to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust for over 10 years. The current contract comes to an end 31 March 2025. The Authority requires a managed payroll and pension administration service contract. The Supplier will have to provide the service using the national NHS Electronic Staff records "ESR" which is managed by NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) as part of the national contract. The managed payroll service will entail on a continuing basis, the collection and processing of payroll information. This information will provide the basis for processing regular payrolls and accordingly initiate the payment of salaries and wages. The managed payroll service will adhere strictly and without unauthorised deviation to prescribed statutory and mandatory requirements including the application of terms and conditions of service and NHS Pension Scheme regulations. Changes will take place in NHS service provision over the period of the Contract and the Contract needs to be flexible enough to accommodate these. The Supplier must be able to react to these changes.

Due to the geographic spread of the region, the Trust has split this opportunity into geographical Lots which consists of three counties per lot. The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (“the Contracting Authority”) is looking to appoint two (2) Suppliers who will be able to meet our requirements to provide a reactive general maintenance and handyman service across the estate. General maintenance work is normally non urgent and the types of jobs that will be required are unblocking toilets, repairing, or replacing door closures, putting up notice boards or removing them, hanging doors, assembling furniture or moving furniture, replacing lightbulbs, minor repairs to estate etc. This tender is split into two (2) Lots as detailed below.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (“the Contracting Authority”) is seeking a Supplier for the supply and delivery of OEM, or equivalent, and aftermarket vehicle spare parts, materials, consumables and associated equipment to its eleven (11) workshops. The Supplier will be required to supply and deliver the required vehicle parts at least twice a day (AM and PM) six (6) days a week and on Public Holidays during the site’s operational hours, in an efficient and cost effective manner. The Supplier will also provide stock management services through the utilisation of their own stock management system to analyse run rate of parts and provide sufficient holding of parts allocation. The Supplier may also be required to provide vehicle parts and spares to the eighteen (18) Make Ready Hubs stationed across the region. This tender will be a single ‘lot’ tender.

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (the "Trust") wishes to deliver a new ambulance hub facility (the "Hub") and intends to enter into a development agreement with Basildon Borough Council (the "Council") for the construction of the Hub on a site owned by the Council. Under the terms of the development agreement with the Council, the Council intends to run a competitive process in order to appoint a suitably qualified construction contractor to undertake the works.
