Colchester Hospital Children's Services serves a paediatric population of over 77,000 children in the Colchester, Halstead and Tendring areas of North East Essex. Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals merged in 2018 to form East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust, with Children's Services located on each site. ESNEFT Community Paediatrics is a diagnostic service covering Colchester and Tendring areas (Clacton, Halstead and Harwich) for children from 0 - 19 who require referral for diagnosis of ASD or ADHD or other neurodiverse conditions.

SNEFT is facing a temporary shortfall in its Respiratory Sleep Diagnostic tests provision due to the recruitment gap for full-time clinicians. To maintain patient care and ensure continuity under the Sleep Study Pathway, ESNEFT needs an urgent short-term solution to manage its backlogged patients until it is fully staffed. Outsourcing with an external provider will allow ESNEFT to temporarily collaborate to handle the backfill of patients. This would ensure that patients receive timely care while ESNEFT completes its recruitment process

ESNEFT has a long term relationship with Sophos who provide a number of security products from anti-virus endpoint, filtering products and firewalls. This procurement project aims to continue and expand on that relationship as we take ownership of ESNEFT community sites.

Trust National Staff Survey Additional information: ESNEFT are required each year to take part in the National Staff Survey (NSS) ESNEFT propose using a mixed mode survey as we have in the past to ensure all staff on both hospital sites are incorporated into the annual staff surveys. Allowing staff who limited e-mail access have the ability to participate and we would also benefit that we do a full census survey of all our staff and not a %. A full census survey is also being highly recommended by the national coordination centre. ESNEFT has always conducted a full census survey in the past.
