Dunstable Town Council is seeking from suppliers a quote for the provision of a new website, hosting, maintenance and ongoing support. The website specification is stated in the Tender Introduction document and has a defined list of minimum requirements the service must meet in order to ensure that the Council achieves both legally required compliance and communication functions. The supplier must be experienced in providing websites and ongoing support to town councils and have a proven track record and understanding of all requirements relating to a council's website. Specifically in regard to the accessibility compliance requirements (currently WCAG2.1AA raising to WCAG2.2AA in October 2024). In addition, the supplier must have experience and an understanding of the publishing requirements and techniques for local government organisations. The Town Council's domain is .gov.uk; therefore, it's preferable that the supplier be accredited by the CDDO (Cabinet Digital Data Office) and authorised and be Cyber Essentials Certified. The Council's domain is hosted by Cloudflare. The Council's IT systems are based on Microsoft 365. Any solution must be compatible with this system and the Council email hosting service and must have insurance cover against cyber-attack, data loss and GDPR failures. Dunstable Town Council is looking to appoint a Building Contractor to repair the roof and associated features in accordance with the Specification of Works prepared by Brasier Freeth LLP, dated 5th November 2025. The tender will be a single stage selective process. It is important to the Council that a single supplier can implement the repairs. To aid service delivery there must be clear point of contacts for specific roles and responsibilities. The supplier may sub-contract delivery of certain areas if this is made clear in the tender response and that by sub-contracting it does not stop the organisation providing the single support, account management and billing required. The tender applicant must also provide detail on how they validate any working relationship with a 3rd party contractor. All parties must be fully insured. The supplier may sub-contract elements of service provision but must state clearly in their response that they remain entirely responsible for the delivery of service, the quality of that service and its associated communications.
