Derbyshire Dales District Council (the Council) have been successful in obtaining external funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for the design, supply and installation of a new skate park in its Hall Leys Park, Matlock, Derbyshire. The council has awarded a contract following a further competition exercise under the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) Framework, 115-21, Outdoor Playground, Fitness & Sports Facilities and Equipment, Lot 6.3 - Skate/BMX Parks - Pre-Fabricated Units - Metal. The initial contract period is 10 months; the contract is estimated to commence 5 June 2024 and expire 31 March 2025.

The contract scope includes the design of a splashpad, supply and installation of new water play equipment, resurfacing and associated works and ongoing maintenance. There will be an option to extend the contract for ongoing maintenance for 5 years, in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is for 5 years and 8 months. The annual maintenance charge is £7,332.60, these charges are fixed for the first 2 years following installation, subsequent years may be subject to increase.

Derbyshire Dales District Council (the Council) has awarded a contract following a further competition tender exercise under the Homes England, Development and Regeneration Technical Services (DARTS) Framework Lot 2 - Place making, master planning and design services The contract is for consultants to provide a comprehensive Masterplan for the Ashbourne Airfield site that will shape the development of the whole site, owned by two private landowners. The commission will be undertaken in 2 stages: Stage 1 will establish a set of overarching principles for the development of the site. The emerging principles will be agreed with the Council, landowners and other stakeholders. The output from Stage 1 will be a comprehensive report which justifies the overarching development principles for the whole site and how they take account of the ten characteristics of a well-designed place as set out in the National Design Guide. Stage 2 will be a masterplan for the whole site. This will require the appointed consultants to undertake any and all required site analysis including desktop assessments and reporting, including considering the issues, risks, impacts on holding and development. It will be accompanied by comprehensive development framework which clearly sets out the data and justification that underpins the consultant's recommendations for all the elements of the brief, as well the financial viability of the development. The initial contract period for Stage 1 is approx. 3 months; the contract is estimated to commence 1 August 2024 and expire 31 October 2024. The Council will reserve the option to extend the contract for a further period of 3 months to 31 January 2025 to carry out stage 2 of the project.

The Council has awarded a contract to an external auditor to audit and certify their Housing Benefit (HB) Subsidy Grant claims in England, for the subsidy period 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023, to meet the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) requirements to give the DWP assurance of a valid and true claim. The external auditor will conduct testing of all Housing Benefit Assurance Procedure (HBAP) aspects of the audit.

Derbyshire Dales District Council (The Council) is seeking a concessionaire to provide and operate a safe, welcoming and friendly children's funfair every Saturday and Sunday during the period of the Matlock Bath Illuminations which takes place annually during September and October. The 2024 event dates are 7 September to 27 October.
