Following a competitive tender using the below threshold open tender procedure, Derbyshire Dales District Council (the Council) has concluded a contract to supply light plant and hand tools. The contract is being let as two lots: Lot 1 Hand Tools, Lot 2 Light Plant. The initial contract period is 3 years; the contract will commence 12 January 2026 and expire 11 January 2029. There will be an option to extend the contract for 2 years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum total contract period is five years.

The contract comprises the repair and maintenance of the fabric, finishes and services, including minor works at properties within the charge of the Council within the Derbyshire Dales District Council boundary. The type of maintenance and repair work will range from emergency repairs to routine and non-urgent work, which could include minor improvements. The initial contract period shall be for 2 years. There will be an option to extend the contract for 3 further years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is 5 years.

Despite a number of recruitment campaigns, the council has been unable to appoint to the vacant Enforcement Team Leader position. In order to sustain the delivery of the service, provide continuity of staff and minimise technical difficulties and inconvenience, avoid duplication of costs, it is necessary to retain the services of the interim Enforcement Team Leader for a further period from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. There will be an option to extend the agreement for a further period of up to 24 months, to 31 March 2029, subject to budget approval and business needs. The contract value is estimated on the full term including extension and is subject to indexation.

Derbyshire Dales District Council (The Council) has awarded a contract to a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide First Aid and Paramedic cover for its Matlock Bath Illuminations event across the 16 event nights, which takes place in Derwent Gardens, Matlock Bath annually during September and October. The 2025 event dates are : Saturdays 6, 13, 20, 27 September, 4, 11, 18, 25 October. Sundays 14, 21, 28 September, 5, 12, 19, 26 October Friday 24 October The September and October dates for the 2026 &2027 events shall be provided at a later date. The initial contract period is three (3) years; for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 events. The contract is estimated to commence 6 September 2025 and expire 31 October 2027. Derbyshire Dales District Council has awarded the following contracts for the disposal of organic waste collected by Serco Limited, the Councils waste and recycling collection provider: 1) Severn Trent Green Power Ltd for the disposal and processing of 100% of the Councils domestic food waste, approx. 2600 tonnes (1300 tonnes per annum) at their Seven Trent Green Power site in Derby to be processed using Anaerobic Digestion (AD) to produce renewable energy and a nutrient rich fertiliser. 2) Biffa Waste Services Limited for the disposal and processing of approximately 25% of the Council's domestic garden waste, approx. 4500 tonnes (2250 tonnes per annum) at their composting site in Etwall, South Derbyshire, to be processed using In Vessel Composting (IVC) to create compost and soil improvers. The contracts will be for a term of 2 years from 1st March 2024 until 31st March 2026.

Consultancy Services to assist the Council in delivering on its ambitions and targets for growth of affordable homes delivery in the district. The contract value is for the initial 12 month term.

Development of the draft Ashbourne Airfield Masterplan into a set of design codes and supplementary planning document for adoption by the District Council. The contract value is £28,287.50 exclusive of VAT.

Derbyshire Dales District Council has awarded a contract for the printing and dispatch of their garden waste subscription stickers, envelopes and terms and conditions as a complete and inclusive service. The contract also includes the provision of a secure web portal for electronic uploading of orders, customer details, tracking of orders and monitoring and managing of the contract and provision of an API for integration with the Councils integral software. The contract period is for an initial two years, commencing on the 1 April 2026. There is an option to extend the contract for a further period of up to three years, in annual increments.

Derbyshire Dales District Council ('the Council') has secured 'Warm Homes: Local Grant' (WH:LG) funding from the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the Midlands Net Zero Hub (MNZH) consortia to improve the energy efficiency of a number of privately owned domestic properties by the end of March 2028 (with the ability to extend into 2030 if further funding is approved). Following a re-opening of competition under The Nottingham City Council's, Energy Efficient Retrofit Installers, Dynamic Purchasing System (CPU 7220), Category 7 Whole House Retrofit, the Council have awarded a contract for a main contractor to carry out a programme of whole-house retrofits using a fabric first approach to install energy efficiency measures and/or low carbon heating measures (excluding fossil fuels) to improve the Standard Assessment Procedure score (SAP) of a number (target of 48 until March 2028) domestic properties located within the District. The scope includes the following essential elements: • Retrofit Assessments and Technical Surveys by appropriately qualified person, provide evidence of site assessment and documents needed for batching (RdSAP10, IOE, profile, quote and signed customer approval of proposal) • Install approved measures to PAS2035:2023 standards and provide certificates of MCS, Quality Mark, materials and workmanship certificates, insurance backed guarantees, TrustMark certificate, IAA guarantees and pulse/air pressure testing where required) • Post EPC assessment and certificate provided along with post install photo evidence • Measures all TrustMark lodged within deadlines The contract has been awarded for an initial value of £1,130,000 to cover the Warm Homes: Local Grant installations, which must be completed by 31st March 2028 and reporting finalised by 28th April 2028. Subject to the Contractor's satisfactory performance, and the Council successfully being awarded further funding, the Council may at its unfettered discretion extend the contract to deliver further installations under future energy efficiency schemes up to the end of March 2030 (or scheme specific deadlines if WH:LG is extended, renamed, rebranded or launched under a difference guise from the government).

Derbyshire Dales District Council has secured Devolution Retrofit funding to improve the energy efficiency of c20 mixed tenure domestic properties located within the Derbyshire Dales by 30th September 2024, and have appointed a Contractor to carry out a programme of whole-house retrofits using a fabric first approach.

4 x 7.2kw Chargers call-off contract awarded via the existing TPPL & Highland Council DPS

Derbyshire Dales District Council, with its project partners Amber Valley Borough Council and Erewash Borough Council, is out to tender for a supplier to undertake a planned programme of housing inspections (against the requirements of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System and the Decent Homes Standard) and landlord and tenant engagement relating to the Private Rented Housing sector across the three Local Authorities. This project follows work undertaken by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) relating to statistical modelling to estimate non-decent dwellings at Local Authority level.

The contract comprises the repair and maintenance of the fabric, finishes and services, including minor works at properties within the charge of the Employer, within the area indicated in the tender documents may be ordered by the Contract Administrator during the contract period. The type of maintenance and repair work will range from emergency repairs to routine and non-urgent work, which could include minor improvements. The types of properties upon which the work will be carried out are mainly traditional buildings both old and new, some of which may be listed under the planning regulations and a number of temporary buildings.
