This tender is for the design and supply of office furniture at:
- The newly constructed Waste Management depot, Engine Shed Lane, Skipton BD23 1UP which will house Craven District Council's Waste Management Service from 15th August 2022 and
- Langcliffe Quarry Enterprise Hub, Hoffmann Kiln Road, Langcliffe BD24 9NU which will be completed mid-June 2022 and this Service will offer support and advice to new businesses.
In addition to the itemised furniture detailed in the 'Cost Submission' provided with this ITT; The tenderer will be required to survey the sites in order to confirm the required quantities and propose a style and layout of furniture to best fit the available space, whilst giving consideration to the specified use of those areas (e.g. open plan working area on first floor at Langcliffe).
CDC are seeking bids for the provision of support services for people with complex needs as part of the Craven Rough Sleeper Pathway. The Pathway supports rough sleepers, bringing them off the streets as quickly as possible into safe, supported accommodation. Here, they can rebuild their lives and subsequently move into their own tenancy with ongoing tenancy sustainment.
This invitation to tender is split into 3 lots:

Lot 3: Drugs and alcohol support services
Craven District Council requires an appropriately experienced contractor to design, manufacture and install a fixed, external heritage interpretation scheme focused on the Leeds Liverpool Canal and the surrounding environment within Skipton town centre. In developing the scheme, the District Council would like to implement a design that incorporates a level of innovation into the design and layout of the heritage interpretation beyond a traditional post mounted interpretation panel / lectern frame.
Delivery this brief has been split into two stages with the following specific objectives: Stage 1: Design Stage
2: Manufacture and Install
The successful bidder will only be appointed to complete Stage 2 of the project following written approval from CDC at the conclusion of Stage 1.
The client is seeking bids from specialist landscape contractors as part of the works to redevelop the former Langcliffe Quarry Depot site in Settle. Planning approval was granted by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority subject to completion of the landscaping works referred to in this tender.
The outcome of the tender process will be a single contract with one contractor.
This Project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014 - 2020 and the Government's Local Growth Fund through the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership.
Craven District Council is seeking tenders from suitable construction contractors to act as Principle Contractor for the construction of a single storey extension to its existing crematorium chapel building at Skipton Crematorium Chapel, Waltonwrays Cemetery, Skipton BD23 3BT. Whilst not grade II listed the existing buildings within the site are considered to be of heritage significance. Designs have been produced and the proposed extension will accommodate an additional 20 to 30 people standing; with the addition of audio visual equipment they will be able to view services taking part in the main Chapel.
CDC require the contract to start 1st July 2023 with completion by end of August 2023. An element of out of hours working will be required to fit construction works around funeral services. It is essential that the operational service continues for as much of the construction period as possible between the hours of 10.30am and 4.00pm (some flexibility on some days can be provided in consultation with the Bereavement Services Manager). Any full closure periods are to be kept to a minimum. Bidders will be expected to demonstrate their methods of work through their submission and will form part of the qualitive evaluation.
The Skipton Sandylands site was established in 1947 by the Coulthurst Trust. The trust protected the land through a number of covenants to be used for the "purpose of rugby, cricket and other kindred sports". The area of whole of the Sandylands site is designated as Open Space in the Local Plan.
The site is identified as being critical to the delivery of leisure opportunities for residents of Skipton and beyond. The Masterplan will ensure this asset is being used to best effect going forward.
CDC are seeking quotes to produce a long-term planning document, agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders to provide guidance on future growth for the development of the Sandylands site with a minimum 10 - 15 year reach.
