Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) wish to appoint a contractor to carry out works to protect Kinmel Bay against rising sea levels. The works also includes public realm and environmental improvements. Funding for the scheme is 85% from Welsh Government and 15% from CCBC. The improvements include: Coastal Defence -Raising and widening rock armour defences approx. 100k tonne of rock armour -Raising approx. 2km of sea wall by 500-750mm -Replacing a floodgate. Public realm -Improving and providing new access points between the coastal path and the beach -Providing new parklets and street furniture. -Improvements to the beach car park in St Asaph Avenue (LL18 5NL). Ecology -Reinstated sand dunes, and scrub, habitat and vegetation management -Coastal wildflowers and improved grassland -Rain gardens, lawn and tree planting. The works are due to start in December this year with a contract completion of approx. autumn 2025. Conwy County Borough Council is preparing to launch a tender exercise to deliver support services for unpaid carers by offering flexible, person-centred, high-quality respite, supporting the well-being of both carers and those they care for (adults or children). Conwy County Borough Council is preparing to launch a tender exercise to deliver support in the form of Family Group Conferences by offering a process led by family members to plan and make decisions for a child/children who are in need or at risk. Intentions are to go live with the tender in the middle of September 2025.

Following the market engagement event held in June 2022, this is a Prior Information Notice to inform the market that Conwy County Borough Council is due to commence a tender for the provision of an exciting service in a newly developed Cafe as part of an employment development service for people within disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Provider to operate a thriving Cafe and also be part of a new model of service that enables people with disabilities to achieve their aspirations to gain paid work. The Service will form part of the Council's approach to enabling people to acquire work skills and progress to paid employment through a range of different pathways. We are looking to procure an Integrated HR and Payroll System to be used Authority wide. We currently have a system in place where our current contract is due to end at the end of May 2024. We have embedded a strong culture over the years and it is vital that this is maintained.

Conwy County Borough Council is preparing to launch a tender exercise to deliver Minor Adaptation Response Services and ENABLE‑Funded Minor Adaptations for eligible residents across the county. The service will support individuals with chronic conditions or physical disabilities to maintain independence and improve safety and wellbeing within their homes, through the provision of reliable, responsive and good‑quality minor adaptations in line with approved building, electrical and safety standards. The forthcoming procurement will cover adaptations up to £350 per case for the Minor Adaptation Response Service and between £350 and £1,500 for ENABLE‑funded adaptations, following assessments of need. The service will be required to operate five days a week during standard working hours and adhere to robust quality assurance, performance monitoring, and reporting requirements as set out in the service specifications. The Council intends to publish the tender opportunity during January 2026.

Conwy County Borough Council is working in collaboration with BCUHB to tender a contract for a bespoke service for one Young Person of 16 years of age planning to return to live in the Conwy area. The purpose of the service is to create a safe and nurturing place where the Young Person can be fully supported with high quality trauma informed care and support. As part of this exercise proposals will be invited from experienced and qualified organisations to submit a tender for Option 1 (Supported Living: Service) and/or Option 2 (Solo residential care package: Accommodation and Service). Each tender will be considered and evaluated separately with the intention to select the best proposal for the Young Person.
