The AIMM project is focussed on supporting the DfT with understanding the future technologies and innovations to be developed within micromobility over the next 1-5 years. It specifically looks to understand how these new developments might impact accessibility and inclusion within the micromobility ecosystem.
The purpose of the project is to provide insight and analysis of future developments to help inform decisions around primary and secondary legislation. Additionally, it will inform the Department around the economic and commercial impacts of policy decisions on the UK. As part of delivering this project, the Catapult is overseeing a market research and insights deliverable, gathering qualitative and quantitative data from across government, industry and academia.
This market research will inform the project in evaluating the future development of micromobility technologies and, ultimately, the outputs and insights delivered to the Department.

Connected Places Catapult (CPC) is working together with Anglian Water (AW), UK Power Networks (UKPN) and BT to develop the Climate Resilience Demonstrator (CReDo). CReDo aims to be a connected digital twin of critical infrastructure that helps the cross-sectoral infrastructure network adapt to climate change and improve climate resilience.
CReDo showcases the advantages of combining data and insights across sectoral and organisational boundaries. The resulting improved coordination of operational and investment decisions, including inter- and intra-sector collaboration, will increase resilience against extreme weather events. At present this covers infrastructure across the water, energy and telecoms sectors, but the long-term ambition is to capture additional sectors, at a national scale.

The Air Mobility Ecosystem Consortium (AMEC) is aiming to demonstrate the commercial and operational viability of Advance Aerial Mobility (AAM) in the UK. This is an efficient, electric model of aerial transport complementary to existing transport infrastructure, helping to deliver both increased connectivity and net zero emission targets. In doing so the project will deliver cost-effective and convenient inter-regional and intra-regional travel to the British public.
A previous phase of the Future Flight Challenge identified four potential use cases for eVTOL aircraft:
1. Short Hop Business or Leisure Trip
2. Inter-city/Inter-airport Business Trip
3. Leisure Trip (to a Tourist Area or Inter-airport)
4. Tourist trip (Sightseeing)
We would like to procure an organisation to undertake research and analysis to produce:
A. A detailed segmentation for future users of eVTOL services with propensity to use the future service:
a. Consideration should be given to likely timescales for these (e.g. next 5 years, 10+ years)
b. Future Users may be businesses or individual travellers - both should be considered
c. An understanding of the service requirements for each segment that would provide value
d. Description of each segment aligned to the likely journeys they would take (use cases)
e. The underlying drivers and motivations for each segment to use the new technology and service
B. Based on future trends analysis, identify, and describe passenger journeys for the future eVTOL technology aligned to the segmentation (consumer and business users).

We at Connected Places Catapult are a partner of the Air Mobility Ecosystem Consortium (AMEC). The project is aiming to demonstrate the commercial and operational viability of Advance Aerial Mobility (AAM) in the UK. As part of this we at Connected Places Catapult are exploring the potential interest for the UK market to use eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and land) vehicles. We require your support in providing us access to participants to interview so that we can explore their interest and appetite to use eVTOLs.
We require you to provide us access to the participants from the sectors shown in the RFQ document. We wish to speak to individuals who have a good knowledge of their customer base and service offering, and in a position where they consider and or decide on future transport service offerings they will provide.

The Innovation Procurement Empowerment Centre (IPEC) team at Connected Places Catapult is looking for a company to conduct research around perceptions of innovation-friendly procurement work.
This will include engaging people in both existing CPC audiences and beyond (focusing on procurement professionals) to test awareness and understanding of:
1. The existence, benefits and development of innovation-friendly procurement work.
2. The impact of Connected Places Catapult in this space; the strength of our profile, and the extent to which this has led to increased understanding, knowledge, and confidence to invest in innovation-friendly procurement.
It is expected that the chosen supplier will gather a mixture of qualitative and quantitative insights, identify and reach representative samples across key stakeholder groups, and implement a robust and innovative research methodology.
While the content of the methodology will be left to the discretion of the supplier, all research tools will need to be developed with appropriate quality assurance to validate their fitness for purpose. For instance, questionnaires, topic and / or interview guides etc will need to be signed off by the Catapult and refined through appropriate cognitive testing and piloting. The selected approaches to the sample design and mode of data collection need to clearly demonstrate how they will mitigate risks to internal and external validity and optimise response rates, representativeness and the ability to make generalisations from the evidence base
