Condover Parish Council seeks to award a contract for the design and construction of a new BMX pump cycle track, to cover an area of 240 sq. meters with options for novice and experienced users. A smaller loop, with smaller obstacles within the track, is required for less experienced riders. The project budget is £25,000 - £40,000 excluding VAT. Overall, the site area is 17 x 30 metres. The tracks should be 1.5 metre wide and minimum length of 160 metres, with tarmac surface to reduce maintenance costs. The Contractor will be responsible for the first year maintenance. Future maintenance will be the responsibility of the Parish Council. The proposal must provide for adequate surface water drainage from the site. The perimeter will be fenced with gated access to the road and sports field. Non track areas will be grassed. The fence should be of wood with matching gate access to the field for pedestrian use. The road gate should be sufficiently wide for vehicle access and lockable. The Contractor is responsible for removal all surplus soil and materials from site and their safe disposal. The project budget is £25,000 - £40,000 excluding VAT. Overall, the site area is 37 x 10 metres. The tracks should be 1.5 metre wide and minimum length of 160 metres, with tarmac surface to reduce maintenance costs. Its design should include start and rest positions and 16 to 20 bump, jump and bend features. Non track areas will be grassed. A 2 metre high V Mesh fence with an opening for pedestrian access is required on 2 sides to prevent ingress of cricket balls from the adjacent pitch. A new durable weather-proof path and entrance gate from Station Road is required. The gate to be 1m wide and the path 110m in length and 1m wide. The Contractor will be responsible for the first year maintenance. Future maintenance will be the responsibility of the Parish Council. Dorrington Children's Recreation & Play Park Land to the rear of: 14-16 Church Road, Dorrington, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY5 7JL Contract value £40,000 - £50,000 excluding VAT 1.1 Condover Parish Council is seeking a qualified and reputable play company to design, supply and install equipment for the refurbishment of the children's play area at Dorrington Children's Recreation & Play Park on the provisions as set out in tender document. 1.2 The location of the site is land to the rear of: 14-16 Church Road, Dorrington, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY5 7JL 1.3 The aim is to decide on a preferred supplier and to place an order in July 2023. 1.4 This project requires the supply and installation of new children's play equipment including play area surfacing. The existing items of outdoor gym equipment, including the surfacing, are to be retained, and refurbished. The principal focus of the new play equipment is inclusivity and providing play items for the Toddlers to 14-year-old age group.
