The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) requires a Contractor to supply, deliver and install a new Equine Event Horse Simulator and a Racehorse Simulator by 15 March 2023. Separate contracts shall be awarded for each one of the following lots: • Lot 1: The Equine Event Horse Simulator • Lot 2: Race Horse Simulator

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) wishes to appoint a Contractor to deliver its media buying and support the achievement of Business Goals through targeted advertising campaigns. The media buying will deliver the College’s strategies to target key customer segments and support CAFRE in meeting its awareness and recruitment targets. This contract will be managed by the Government Advertising Unit on behalf of CAFRE. Full details of requirements are set out in the Specification document (ID 4646910 – Specification).

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) is an integral part of DAERA. CAFRE Enniskillen Campus has a wide range of practical equine teaching facilities to accommodate equine breeding, equitation and racing enterprises, a farriery unit and a student horse livery. CAFRE requires a Supplier to supply, deliver and install two new Dressage Horse Simulators by 6th February 2026.

This contract will be broken down into 2 Lots: • Lot 1 - Face-to-face training for groups of farmers • Lot 2 - Themed peer-to-peer group facilitators Each Lot will be evaluated and awarded independently. Lot 1- CAFRE require a Supplier to administer, secure access to appropriate venues and deliver training to participants who cannot use e-learning courses without support. The supplier will be required to administer, hire appropriate venues, and deliver training sessions to groups of participating farmers. Each course will have its own specific Learning Outcomes, underpinning knowledge, assessment process (if required) and delivery schedule. Lot 2 - CAFRE requires a Supplier to administer and deliver specialist technical facilitation and mentoring to Themed Groups. These groups will be delivered alongside Business Sustainability Groups (BSGs) and are a development from the previous Business Development Group (BDG) scheme which operated under the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme. BSGs are enterprise specific but with a focus on the sustainability of the entire farm. Themed Groups will provide more focused support and advice relating to specific enterprises and topics. Groups will also have a shorter duration of 18-24 months with an estimated 3-6 meetings per group per year dependent on topic.

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), are seeking to appoint a Supplier to design, administer and deliver the professional support element of the Horticulture Pilot Scheme, an initiative which aims to stimulate growth within Northern Ireland’s (NI’s) horticulture industry. The Pilot Horticulture Scheme is a key component of DAERA’s Sustainable Agriculture Programme (SAP), which encompasses a range of strategic measures designed to support the long-term development and sustainability of the production horticulture industry in Northern Ireland. Suppliers should refer to the Specification Schedule for full detail on the deliverables and requirements of this contract. Neither CPD nor the Buyer can provide any guarantee as to the level of business under this contract.

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) – College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) has a requirement for leasing 5 Agricultural Tractors and 3 Material Handlers. The equipment will be used for the dual purpose of student and industry training and general farm work and must be delivered to Greenmount Campus Machinery and Buildings Centre, Greenmount Campus Dairy Development Centre, Greenmount Campus Beef and Sheep Development Centre (Abbey Farm).
