This is to engage with potential bidders on a tender to create a framework of 5 ranked suppliers for 2 years, then open the framework up for re tender, then close for a further 2 years . Advance notification of the Student PPE Tender for Coleg Gwent. We aim to release the tender is approx. 4 weeks, we would just like to give some notification to suppliers that maybe interested in bidding for the contract. We are currently preparing the documents, and as stated above hope to release the tender in approx. a month. The contract will be awarded we estimate in May / June time with a start date of latter August. The contract will be a 2 year contract.
Coleg Gwent is one of the largest further education Colleges in Wales, based at various locations in the former county of Gwent, South Wales.
It has over 24,000 students ranging from secondary school leavers to mature students, and over 1,500 staff.
The College operates from six campuses – City of Newport, Crosskeys, Torfaen, Usk, Blaenau Gwent (Ebbw Vale) and Pontypool.
The contract being tendered is for the College's catering services which is offered as a 3 year contract, plus possible 2 year extension, to start 1 August 2023. The approx value of the contract is 350k GBP per annum.
The College may chose to implement different arrangements at different campuses, and therefore reserves the right to split the contract into Lots, should this be deemed advantageous.
