The London Screen Academy is a specialist Sixth Form Academy in the London Borough of Islington. Part of the Day One Trust, it has over 798 students on roll and over 80 teaching and support staff. The Academy is located in a former factory in Islington. The 80,000Sq Ft factory was built in the 1930s and was transformed into a world class film school in 2019. There is one busy main restaurant with a very modern, professionally equipped kitchen and a spacious restaurant. A third floor café is currently mothballed as the service is not commercially viable at this point. The incumbent caterer is the Pollen Partnership. The Academy is pushing ahead with plans to revitalise the services and manage operating costs on site quickly. Walthamstow School for Girls is an Ofsted rated Outstanding single sex Girls Secondary School in the London Borough of Walthamstow. It has 898 students between the ages of 11 and 16 on roll and 120 teaching and support staff. A number of staff in the catering team have LGPS pension schemes. There is one busy main restaurant with a modern, well equipped kitchen and there is also scope for an additional serving area in a POD or a nearby location. The incumbent caterer is Olive Dining. The school continues to forge a bright new future for the girls at the school under the leadership of the Headteacher, Helen Marriott. The School Business Manager, Romi Jalil is developing the services to reflect the high aspirations of the Headteacher and SLT; he is tendering their catering services to deliver the very best service for every student at the school. The contract start date is the 1st of September 2023 and this will be for an initial three-year period. There is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and client agreement on budgets and service levels. The Mulberry Schools Trust, based in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, is tendering for the supply of Planned Preventative Maintenance services, initially across 2 of their schools, but with the option to include additional schools as the Trust grows.
