The Contractor will provide all daily operational checks, water quality testing, chemical dosing, plant room operations, and public‑facing readiness tasks throughout the seasonal operating period. The service includes two site visits per day during the open season, monthly microbiological testing using an accredited laboratory, annual deep cleaning and disinfection of the three water tanks, routine plant servicing, and reactive maintenance of pumps, filters, jets and controls. The Contractor must supply all chemicals, consumables, PPE, and specialist equipment required to deliver the service. The contract also includes seasonal commissioning, end‑of‑season decommissioning/winterisation, and winter call‑outs for flooding or system protection. All work must comply with relevant UK water quality, safety, electrical and pool plant standards, and must be carried out by suitably competent personnel. The required services must be delivered in accordance with the detailed specification and service levels set out in the tender documents.
Christchurch Town Council is looking for an experienced Christmas light contractor in respect of the supply, installation, maintenance, removal and storage of leased Christmas lights and decorations.
The Council are being ambitious in their approach and are offering the contract on either a three, three plus one or a five year contract.
The contract will include a core offer as well as an options list for new infrastructure and lighting at locations within the Town.
The project comprises the remedial works to the roof and stonework as per the appended
survey and structural report, along with the full refurbishment of all internal areas
Christchurch Town Council is procuring a Christmas lighting services contract for the festive seasons 2026-2028. The appointed contractor will be required to design, supply (on a hire/lease basis), install, test, maintain, remove and store Christmas lighting and festive decorations across designated locations within Christchurch, including the town centre, Bargates, High Street, the Quomps bandstand, Mudeford Recreation Ground, Mudeford Quay, Friar's Cliff, and selected roundabouts.
The contract covers the provision of energy‑efficient LED lighting, motifs, column‑mounted features, tree lighting, bandstand lighting and associated fittings. All items must be suitable for outdoor use, comply with UK electrical safety standards, and be installed by competent, accredited personnel. The contractor must also provide appropriate control systems (e.g., timers, remote control options) and carry out all mandatory annual testing and certification.
The services include:
- development of full lighting designs and visual concepts
- supply of all required lighting on a hire or lease basis
- installation before the annual switch‑on event
- in‑season maintenance and fault response
- removal after the festive period
- safe storage of equipment where applicable;-
- provision of all RAMS, compliance documentation, insurances and certificates.
The Council has an annual budget of up to £40,000 on Option A tenders and £20,000 on Option B tenders. Tenderers may be asked to provide alternative options at lower budget levels. Final installation locations remain subject to confirmation, including highway permissions and availability of suitable electrical supply.
