Charnwood Borough Council owns almost 5,500 dwellings, of which approximately 1,500 are flats or maisonettes in approximately 267 blocks defined by a communal entrance. The council wishes to appoint a contractor to provide cleaning services to these blocks for a period of two years with an option to extend for up to two additional one-year periods.
Charnwood Council is inviting tender responses for a suitably qualified contractor to supply and install Christmas Lights and features in Charnwood Town Centre.
Managed by the Town Centres Management team, we are looking to purchase assets to cover the desired area. We are currently in a contract for installation and removal of the lights in the Town but would require initial installation to be in conjunction with the current installers.

The Council owns 14 sheltered accommodation schemes, consisting of 13 low rise schemes of accommodation, (one with flats also at the location), and one distinct bungalow scheme.
Most schemes were constructed in the late 60s and early 70s and do not meet either the needs or aspirations of older people.
Properties are hard to let, and the number of void (empty) properties has increased over the years. The rents are low, and there are high costs associated with the blocks, which perform poorly from a financial asset perspective.
Progress has been relatively slow over the years, and due to the increasing number of voids, and worsening of conditions at accommodation, the Council wishes to accelerate this activity by:
• Setting out a long-term vision for sheltered accommodation - considering options for the sites, and the future shape of the accommodation and support offer.
• Determining a timed and sequenced programme of activity to mitigate costs and improve the portfolio of accommodation swiftly.
Charnwood Borough Council ('CBC') owns and manages around 5,450 rented properties and 333 leasehold dwellings based in the town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, and its surrounding towns and rural villages.
CBC intends to enter into a contract with one successful Contractor under a bespoke form of the JCT Measured Term Contract ('the Contract') for a period of 2 years with the potential to extend for one further period of 2 years to a maximum of 4 years total contract duration.
The Disrepair Works programme (the 'Programme') comprises an on-demand repair and maintenance service to occupied properties in the Council's housing stock which are the subject of a housing disrepair claim initiated by the tenant. The Programme includes to repair these properties within prescribed timescales in order to allow the Council to comply with its repairing obligations, increase customer satisfaction, and to prevent successful disrepair claims leading to financial loss to the Council.
The Programme is estimated to commence in January 2024 and will include but not be limited to inspections and surveys, damp and mould works, plastering, re-pointing, joinery repairs, roofing and roofline works including missing tiles, and repairs to chimney stacks, rainwater gullies and downpipes, replacement of double glazed units, partial replacement of kitchen units and worktops, flooring repairs, plumbing repairs, repairs to WCs and bathroom suites, repair to plasterwork and ceilings, rehanging and/or replacing internal and external doors, lock replacements, , installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors extractor fans and loft insulation, electrical and central heating.
Charnwood Borough Council (CBC) wish to purchase a fully equipped mobile stage that could be used for events in different town centres and other locations throughout the borough. The stage would need to be moved easily between these locations including parks, town centres and other open spaces. The means of moving the stage between different venues and places should be made clear in any response to this tender opportunity.
The stage needs to be manufactured in a way that it can be assembled and disassembled in a safe easy manner by council employees. Moreover, it must be designed so that one individual can operate the stage without specialist training, adhere to all health and safety requirements and allow disabled access.
It must also have a durable roof system to protect against unpredictable weather and ensure the safety of equipment and performers. The size requirements are approximately 24sq ft (minimum) with an option to extend the stage. Further considerations should include how the stage may be branded to reflect CBC in a manner that is visually appealing and reinforces the locality.
