IWMP Containers, Packaging and Characterisation Support
The IWMP was established with a flexible resource model at the onset, given that the direction of travel was the establishment of Nuclear Waste Services and the programme was in its infancy. During this time, we have procured key support in the areas of Programme Management and Programme Management Office (PMO) support to enable us to progress work and establish the lifecycle process for IWMP. This scope is to continue that support to the point of us being able to establish our permanent team, enabling a smooth transition during the first 6-12 months of Nuclear Waste Services being formed, as the IWMP moves from NDA corporate centre into the new business. Specifically, the scope will cover the following role:
Programme Management Support - We require support to ensure the next phase of the IWM programme starts on the right footing, and is scoped, planned and controlled from the onset. This will require a Senior Programme Manager and supporting Project and Programme Sub Managers with associated reachback for business case development, estimating and benchmarking to support the IWM Programme team for a period of up to 12 months, as the team establishes additional programmes. Expertise is required to establish new programmes within the IWM, setting standards, objectives, defining projects and developing underpinning investment business cases. Initially two key areas require support Containers and Packages and the Characterisation Programme. It is anticipated that this will change as these programmes are initiated and the IWMP organisation develops capability to deliver. At the commencement of the contract the Buyer will require minimum of 1x Senior Programme Manager resource (at the CCS Principal Consultant level).
This competition is being issued under Crown Commercial Services Management Consultancy Framework 3 RM6187 Lot 3. Only suppliers under Lot 3 of this framework can participate in the competition.
