Citizen Housing Group Limited are seeking views through a soft market testing exercise in relation to a forthcoming procurement exercise to procure domestic compliance / safety services / home safety visits to our housing portfolio. Interested providers are invited to attend a soft market testing open day on Friday 4th August 2023 at Citizen's Head Office, 4040 Lakeside, Solihull Parkway, Birmingham B37 7YN. Interested organisations should submit their expression of interest to attend the open day by emailing procurement@citizenhousing.org.uk with a brief description of their organisation along with the names of those representatives wishing to attend. Expressions of Interest should be received no later than 12 noon on 19th July 2023. Citizen reserves the right to hold further soft market testing meetings for interested organisations that respond to the soft market testing to further support this exercise. Please note that Citizen retains sole discretion as to which (if any) interested organisations it will invite to soft market testing meetings. This is not a formal tender opportunity and there is no guarantee of any tender opportunity arising following this period of soft market testing. All responses will be confidential for the market testing purposes only. The services to be included within the potential contract may include the following, but Citizen wish to explore this further through this market testing exercise. The exact future spend on such services will be dependent on scope and contract duration but is likely to be circa £8.5M ex vat per year: • Domestic gas / LPG servicing, breakdown, installations and compliance certification e.g., LGSR • Smoke / CO and other monitoring / detection systems inspection and repair / replacement • 5-year electrical compliance checking and remedial works (EICRs) • Air source / ground source heat pump heating system servicing and repair • Solid fuel heating system servicing and repair, including sweeping flues • Oil fired heating system servicing and repair • Domestic electrical works e.g., ccu upgrades and rewires • Mechanical extraction / ventilation servicing e.g., extractor fans in individual rooms or whole house systems • Fire door inspections (Basic visual inspection utilising Citizen's cloud-based door tagging and inspection system) • Stock condition data validation (Key components) and general property condition check including any possible tenant alterations • Safeguarding and referral of property or tenancy concerns • Electric storage heaters / electric boiler heating inspections and repair • HHSRS (scope and detail to be discussed) but likely to be basic assessment based around noting category 1 and 2 issues such as damp and mould • Data collection on property (scope and detail to be discussed) e.g., Noting stairlift or similar equipment within the property.

Citizen are currently undertaking an early engagement exercise for the provision of tipping and skips for removal of waste from building works, waste and fly tipping removal, green waste and void waste within the Birmingham region. We are seeking to ascertain if there are such facilities within the Birmingham area, where our teams are able to sustainably dispose/recycle waste materials such as waste from building works, white goods, wood and/or plaster, and also green waste. The collection of such waste materials will not be required as this will be delivered in-house.
