The identification and validation of cancer biomarkers requires highly sensitive and robust analytical technologies capable of delivering deep proteome coverage, reproducible quantitation, and confident peptide and protein identification. To support ongoing research in the next generation diagnostic programme at CPI Biologics, Darlington, supporting application to clinical proteomics, there is a need to procure a LC-MS system specifically optimised for advanced proteomics applications. The LC-MS instrument will underpin discovery-to-validation workflows in cancer biomarker research, enabling both untargeted and targeted proteomics approaches within a single platform. It must demonstrate proven performance in single-cell proteomics, clinical proteomics, host cell protein analysis, and post-translational modification studies, with published evidence supporting its application in these domains. High resolution, sensitivity, dynamic range, and throughput are critical to ensure reliable detection of low-abundance proteins and post-translational modifications that are central to biomarker discovery. The acquisition of this LC-MS system will provide the necessary technological foundation to accelerate biomarker discovery, improve clinical translation, and strengthen CPIs capabilities in proteomics.

3 years Service contract for the NBMC Pharmagraph EMS

This specification covers the supply, installation, commissioning and training for additional compressed air drying systems to provide ultradry compressed air and operational resilience across existing CPI facilities. The scope includes a redundant dryer installed in parallel to an existing building air supply, and a new drying system serving an Ambic compressor, inclusive of associated filtration, air receiver, pipework and commissioning activities.

CPI are installing equipment for the pilot scale manufacturing of oligonucleotides at our Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) site in Paisley. To support this work a functionalised PEG molecule known as the Hub molecule is required on a multi-kilogram scale. This tender will aim to supply CPI with this material for use at the MMIC site.

Automation and robotics are key enabling technologies within CPI, with this procurement exercise seeking to appoint a series of suppliers to a framework to support our laboratory automation requirements both current and future primarily for our National Formulation Center based at our Coxon Building facility, through the support of our existing robotic platforms with upgrades, maintenance and ongoing consumable supply and with the provision of new robotic platforms. The scope of supply for equipment purchases under this tender will include the supply and installation of equipment, with the option of commissioning the equipment if required. The HII consortium has a multifaceted approach supporting several work programmes. One led by CPI of the HVMC, intends to partner with an ecosystem stakeholder to design, build and implement a hydrogen accelerator in collaboration with the HII consortia. With 3 key objectives the partner will: - ● Pipeline Development: Build a robust pipeline of innovation companies in the UK hydrogen supply chain focussed on applications with commercial potential – aligned to some/all of the HII hydrogen technical roadmap themes – Conditioning, Distribution and Control, Electrical and Thermal Management, Heat Generation, Feedstock and Carrier, Production, Storage, Metering and Monitoring, and Propulsion and Power Generation. ● Implementation of programme: design, build and operate an accelerator, partnered by the HII consortium, matching innovators with end users / hydrogen off-takers in 1-2 key regions to inform the best approach for a larger national scale project in the future. Building on the success of the HII SEED accelerators, this programme will be a focal project within the HII Bridge programme supporting a larger cohort of companies that can progress with a tiered offering from ecosystem support to bespoke hand-on projects with the catapults to an intensive wrap-around support ● Leverage of investment: Identify, develop, and leverage direct and in-direct investment into the accelerator and cohort companies it supports. Development of a coordinated local and national/international ecosystem, developing corporate partnerships, bringing together the hydrogen off-takers/end users to support implementation of the accelerator and potential future programmes. Development of companies with the support of the HII consortium to leverage public and private investment into the accelerator cohort companies.

Servicing and Support of Analytical (Including Capillary Electrophoresis) Equipment .

CPI is seeking qualified and experienced suppliers to be appointed to a framework agreement for the supply of gas manifold regulators to our facilities. We are looking for suppliers who can demonstrate technical competence, a strong track record of delivery, and a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability. This requirement relates to the replacement of all single-stage gas regulators across the building, in line with statutory regulations. These regulators are installed in every laboratory and plant room, with approximately 250 units currently in operation. They support various gas lines, including Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide, and Carbon Dioxide 5%. The existing regulators have exceeded their recommended 10-year lifecycle, as specified in CP039. Continued use beyond this period increases the risk of failure and poses safety risks to personnel, particularly in laboratory environments.

CPI seeks to procure business development support services in the East Coast (focus on New England) and West Coast regions, USA, to accelerate market engagement and pipeline growth in HealthTech and advanced materials. The supplier will provide targeted introductions, facilitate meetings, and support CPI staff visits, focusing on building networks and business opportunities with regional stakeholders.
