VisitBritain/VisitEngland seeks a Tenderers from suitably qualified and experienced bidders to undertake a quality assurance assessments of tourism businesses that deliver frontline business support on a one-to-one basis in England for and on behalf of the national tourist board. In addition to the assessment of establishments within the star-rated and accredited tourist accommodation schemes, this licenced contract opportunity also includes responsibility for the management of the non-accommodation schemes, including visitor attractions. The incumbent supplier has indicated that it considers that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 will apply should the contract be awarded to a different supplier. This means that there will be a transfer of staff - believed to be no more than 2 - 4 unless agreed otherwise. VisitBritain's (VB) Commercial Partnerships Team has the responsibility for creating commercial partnerships between VB and third party suppliers (or partners) for mutual benefit. In these commercial partnerships, the association of both brands generates a specific financial, or other advantage, which is applied for the benefit of both parties. In some cases, VB will match on a 50% : 50% basis the funding provided by the third party supplier (partner) to enhance the scope of the commercial arrangement, which results in added value benefits for all. The Commercial Partnerships Team has used a Dynamic Partner Register (DPR) to manage and award agreements to third party suppliers (partners). VB are now seeking to replace the DPR established in 2015 with a new Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Commercial Partnerships & Related Services. VB intends to set up the DPS for a period of 24 months, with any Call Off Agreement awarded under the DPS not exceeding beyond 24 months of the DPS closing date. This DPS is being procured under the Light Touch Regime (LTR), and will subject to limited regulations, in accordance with Regulations 74-76 PCR2015. The aim of this project is to motivate, educate and inspire tourism businesses in England to adopt and/or step-up sustainable tourism actions by highlighting success stories from across the country that they can relate to and learn from. Using case study examples of sustainability successes, the project aims to highlight the breadth and depth of knowledge on sustainability within the English tourism industry and demonstrate how this knowledge is being applied to the benefit of those businesses involved. However, rather than setting business showing leadership in sustainability on a pedestal, the project aims to draw out key learnings and action points that other businesses, particularly micro and small businesses, can relate to and can therefore take away and apply in their own setting.
