BlueLight Commercial are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider with extensive experience of working within policing and criminal justice to embed a bespoke and dedicated 0800 or freephone number for the public to use, which to enable them to confidentially report information about any member of the police workforce who they believe are taking advantage of their role and/or abusing their position of power. This may be for a variety of reasons including financial or sexual purposes, or behaviour that is motivated by prejudice. This requirement is essential to the public to ensure that UK Poling has easily accessible, effective and robust measures in place, to investigate, monitor and record inappropriate behaviours by police officers/police staff. This service must ensure 100% anonymity to enable members of the public who report wrongdoing to have the option to remain 100% anonymous, this will encourage those who would not ordinarily make a complaint or highlight issues as it will provide method of doing so without fear of details being taken.
The service must adopt a 24/7 365 capability and provide a single service for all of UK policing. This service is intended to be delivered to one successful provider. It is intended to create a framework where Forces and Policing Organisations across the UK, including Police Scotland, Police Service of Northen Ireland and Non-Home Office Forces will be able to call off and utilise the successful provider to then deliver services across that force. The provider must also be able to operate across different mediums (phone/online/mobile).
Proof of Concept for a National Citizen Portal Solution (Alpha)
BlueLight Commercial, on behalf of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside, have awarded a contract for a proof of concept to be undertaken to provide a National Citizen Portal Solution (Alpha).
