There is also a demand in the midlands for upskilling in business and professional services with a view to progress into management and college provision. This is particularly so with learners in health care sectors where there is a requirement to support the skills development of staff to work in front line roles. By "online" we mean remote learning with no need for physical attendance and flexibility for the student to learn at any time. We have no specific cyber security training requirement: A portfolio to pick and choose from is preferable.

Birmingham Metropolitan College has established a Rail Academy which is built up of two qualifications which come together to provide learners with the necessary skills to be able to carry out track maintenance within the rail sector: Rail Engineering Track Maintenance - this qualification involves the skills and knowledge needed for working in railway engineering track maintenance. NVQs are based on national occupational standards, which the learner must meet to be competent in a particular task. The achievement of NVQs will develop their skills and potential within the railway engineering track maintenance field. Rail Engineering Underpinning Knowledge - this qualifications purpose is to provide candidates with sufficient knowledge, understanding and practical skills to introduce them to the industry and prepare them to undertake the NVQ. The college serves approximately 12000 learners across the West Midlands helping them to achieve their learning objectives and secure employment. Bmet offers a dual careers programme which allows students to study a subject of their choice whilst also developing their sporting career. BMet is looking for an organisation to support its dual career offer to students with a pan- disability exploring a career in professional football and in particular: - is a professional football club with a pan- disability pathway, has grounds which are easily accessible to BMet students, has or has access to high quality training facilities which meet the requirements of professional football, is able to provide a high- performance pan- disability programme of football training and coaching and match day opportunities for up to 20 learners per year, is able to offer apprenticeship or employment progression within the football club pathway, and is able to offer other related sport enrichment and personal development across all sites at Bmet. The college serves approximately 10000 learners across the West Midlands helping them to achieve their learning objectives and secure employment. BMet offers arrange of Level 2, Level 3 and T level programmes requiring the development of digital skills. To enhance opportunities available to learners and fill gaps in its expert provision BMet is looking to appoint an organisation able to: • Support the development of relationships with key stakeholders requiring and engaging with digital skills. • Support the work of the colleges Employer Boards. • Work with the colleges leadership team to support the development and implementation of its Digital and innovation Strategy. • Support the college with the development of curriculum to ensure the development of digital skills and awareness of associated career pathways. • Support the work of the college and its membership of the Institute of Technology • Create opportunities for students to prepare for and enter into Digital innovation Competitions involving: o time to develop ideas and solutions to real time problems and challenges; o develop related skills for business development, innovation, design, resilience, entrepreneurship and as required by the Skills Builder Universal Framework; o work in teams; o present to employers; and o win prizes.
